Role/Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for building new relationships and fostering opportunities for all products and services that we deliver within the Professional Services Sales Segment. This includes generating new business via the ability to engage at senior levels of companies to progress opportunities to close.

  • Creating awareness, building relationships, educating our capabilities with key accounts

  • Working collaboratively with senior management and operating units that support the space.

  • Strong ability to create strategic and tactical plans to uncover and close sizeable business for Know Your Customer/Supplier, ESG, Master Data Management, Trade Credit, Sales & Marketing, etc.

  • Ability to quickly build relationships and influence decision-makers at the highest levels within large, mid-market and fast-growing professional services companies

  • Create and maintain a network of contacts as well as building a pipeline of engagements for MA's solutions.

  • Leveraging executive level relationships to introduce Moody's Analytics and create and pursue selling opportunities

  • Gather feedback from the industry to share with product development teams to ensure ongoing evolution of the solutions to meet the requirements of Professional Services client base.

  • Teamwork, fostering relationships, and strategic selling skills are key requirements

  • Build and execute on sales strategies to meet or exceed annual sales goals and targets that align with the company's vision and objectives

  • Work with sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders to drive the sales process from beginning to end by identifying and qualifying prospects, initiating new sales activity and managing sales cycles to closure

  • Lead the development of business within assigned territories. Partner with Solution Specialists to develop clear, concise proposals and deliver targeted client demos that address client needs

  • Travel to meet with clients when safe

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience working in direct business-to-business sales roles with a focus on serving Professional Services clients

  • This candidate will have strong understanding of the Professional Services market and deep knowledge of the innovative solutions required by these clients.

  • Solid understanding of different parts of the global financial services industry, including market dynamics and customers' business drivers

  • Ability to present high-level information as well as detailed demonstrations of products & services

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex sales cycles to successful conclusions through of consultative selling techniques

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to interact with senior executives both internally and externally

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with focus and high attention to detail

  • Experience at six figure sales with long sales cycle (3-12 months).

  • Experience with solution rather than tactical selling.

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor's degree) required, with coursework in business, economics, finance, marketing, or related fields

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $97,400 - $125,000, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
