Job Summary
Location: 5665 N. Kraft Lake Dr. Caledonia, MI 49316 (HYBRID)
We're looking for sales-driven, enthusiastic sales professionals to join our next class of Specialty Sales Representatives beginning September 3rd 2024.
In this role, you will respond to calls coming into our call center by positively promoting Farmers Specialty insurance products to prospective customers, consulting with customers to understand their needs, and selling those products which best fit the customer's needs. You may also make outbound calls to optimize sales potential.
The role has an hourly base pay in addition to uncapped monthly incentive earnings based upon your performance.

Here's what you will accomplish as a member of our team:
Sell insurance products to inbound callers by gathering data from customers to generate quotes and ultimately bind the business; in some instances, make outbound calls
Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships, while educating customers regarding coverages and cost so that the customer can select the most appropriate option
Qualify customers as buyers of other products/services to create cross-sell and upselling opportunities
Navigate multiple computer systems while seamlessly interacting with the customer
Location & Schedule
This role is HYBRID
Office location: 5665 N. Kraft Lake Dr. Caledonia, MI
This position will require in-office training 5 days per week for the your first 8-12 weeks in the role. Upon completing training, you will move to a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).
Pending performance evaluation, you may have the potential to transition to fully remote work after 1 year.
Work Schedule:
Our priority is to our customers, and we work non-traditional hours to match their needs.
Candidates hired for this role must be available to work any shifts within the hours below; this may include evenings, Saturdays, and holidays. Shifts are assigned based on business needs.
Current typical schedule is one late night shift per week, and rotating Saturdays every 4-5 weeks (subject to change based on business needs)
NOTE: New hire schedules will typically start between 10am and 12pm EST
Department Hours:
Full-time- 40 hours/week; five 8-hour shifts per week.
Essential Job Functions

Experience Requirements
P&C License is required upon hire.
Must be eligible to obtain resident/non-resident property and casualty license in all required states
Minimum of 1 year of Customer Service or Sales experience required (including retail, hospitality, and restaurant experience); Call Center experience is preferred
Direct sales skills, and the aptitude to influence customers and close the sale
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to adapt communication style to each phone call, and explain complex policy and coverage information in understandable terms
Strong PC and software skills required
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Obtains resident/non-resident property and casualty license.
Completion of required additional training.
Physical Actions
Besides some sedentary work, job duties require some or all of the following physical activities: Standing, carrying/lifting up to 10 pounds, seeing and hearing, walking, reaching, pushing and pulling, and speaking, reading, and writing.

Required job duties are normally performed in a climate- controlled office environment.
