The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Manager for the Great Lakes Solutions Architecture (SA) team to join us in the Central Region of the U.S. In this role, you will provide guidance to a team of architect experts responsible for serving as ambassadors in the region by sharing a vision for Red Hat's multi-product solutions, positioning Red Hat as a thought leader, and spreading awareness of our emerging technologies and how they solve complex business problems. Your team will consist of solutions architects that will support field sales in the Great Lakes region. As a Senior Manager, you will collaborate with sales management, as well as with consulting, engineering, and support teams, to meet the company-outlined sales objectives and assist your team in developing and delivering business-facing messaging on technical subjects. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

What you will do

  • Oversee hiring and career development for a team of solutions architects

  • Collaborate with sales management on customer engagement strategies

  • Oversee the development of detailed customer installation and system integration (SI) plans

  • Provide and oversee presales technical support in sales presentations and solutions demonstrations

  • Work with marketing and product managers to provide feedback on Red Hat's offerings and technologies

  • Serve as a company point of contact for specific technical projects with customers

  • Directly manage highly diverse technical associates and apply your high degree of business insight in leading regional chief architects

  • Guide strategy across the region while tying it back to the Business team to map field requirements to the Products and Technologies (PnT) strategy

What you will bring

  • 4+ years of experience managing and coaching technical, chief, and solutions architects or other customer-facing team members in best practices and processes

  • 5+ years of technical experience that includes enterprise IT architecture

  • Experience working in or selling to large commercial entities

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience with large enterprise environments

  • Broad knowledge of current industry tools, trends, and best practices

  • Excellent consultative skills and written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work on your own in a fast-paced and growing environment
