Improve business and create solutions that will serve both Red Hat and our customers. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Inside Sales Account Representative to join us in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role, you will partner with field sales professionals to uncover new sales opportunities within an assigned territory. You'll identify, nurture, and close opportunities with both new and existing customers, manage forecasts on a quarterly basis, and track customer data.

What you will do

  • Sell Red Hat's enterprise solutions

  • Provide sales support to a group of account executives, including responding to customer inquiries, providing sales quotes, meeting coordination, and renewal support

  • Collaborate with the Finance, Legal, Business, and Operations teams to support quotations, price negotiations, contract development, and order fulfillment while ensuring compliance with internal processes

  • Manage forecasts and pipeline, record sales activity, and schedule follow-up activities as needed, tracking customer data using customer relationship management (CRM) tools

  • Meet assigned sales quotas

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, marketing, or a technical discipline

  • 2+ years of successful quota-carrying sales experience

  • 2+ years of solutions sales experience in software or high-tech offerings and services

  • Experience using CRM tools like (SFDC)

  • Knowledge of Unix, Linux, Microsoft Windows, and application server marketplaces

  • Familiarity with open source industry and principles is a plus
