Sales Quoting Specialist

What will I be doing?

The Sales Quoting Specialist will work collaboratively with all areas of the ProQuest business to execute proper product migrations within our current and future business systems. The Sales Quoting Specialist will be key member of the go-to-market strategy and can impact the success of the sales and support teams and ultimately, deliver excellent value to our customers. In this position you will also have the opportunity to influence new product launches through successfully assembling a clear and cohesive product migration plan for our sales teams to present to customers on a global scale.

In this position, you will also

  • Execute defined strategies to ensure proper and effective product migrations

  • Streamline the product migration process and ensure the timely and accurate processing of all product migration activity which will include, but limited to, our Primary Source Plans, ProQuest 1 suite of products as well as product line consolidation and simplification efforts.

  • Provide proactive, seamless sales support in partnership with other internal departments

  • Work with all business areas and within our Salesforce.com, billings and financial business applications which are required for proper execution, pricing and credit situations.

  • Process orders that are unable to flow through Order Cloud systematically, and manage detailed information in SFDC for complex orders

  • Use-analysis of current prices and customer sets to evaluate consistency and support pricing for specific opportunities. Apply the appropriate price guidelines

  • Design, prepare and report appropriate key performance metrics, including, for example, comparison of equivalent unit sales against a comparable customer set.

  • Build relationships with internal clients to develop compelling offers and gain buy-in from key stake holders on significant opportunities.

  • Assist Account Mangers/CRMS and Sales Management with ad hoc requests for information.

Qualified candidates must have

  • Bachelors' degree preferred with at least 1-3 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to analyze large data sets required

  • Strong IT/Computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Access required

  • Ability to process and work on large, complex orders

  • Experience in a high-volume customer service organization, preferably serving global customers

  • Excellent interpersonal skills- able to forge strong working relationships with internal and external customers.

  • Ability manage multiple projects and work assignments with a high degree of accuracy

  • High degree of customer orientation and the ability to respond to customer and stakeholder inquiries with high degree of professionalism

  • Proven skills with MS Office Suite of products.

  • Knowledge of SalesForce.com or similar tool

  • Ability to learn new products quickly and to adapt to changes in delivered services.

  • High attention to detail and proven organization and administration skill.

Other important information about this position:

  • This position is located in ProQuest's corporate office located in An Arbor, MI.

  • Occasional travel; less than 10%.

  • This position requires weekday attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours.
