Job Description:
ARDEX Americas (www.ArdexAmericas.com), is the Global industry leader in the manufacturing and development of high-performance specialty building materials.
We are hiring for a SALES PROFESSIONAL to join our PACIFIC NORTHWEST TEAM (States of Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Montana and Idaho), to cultivate solid working relationships and new business opportunities with partner distributors, commercial contractors, installers, specifiers, and other key business influencers, through job site visits, cold calls, distributor training, professional presentations, and exemplifying the ARDEX solution driven, 'customer first' approach.
This is a field sales position with a preferred home office base of PORTLAND. Daily territory travel with some overnight.
Responsibilities:
Successfully launch and promote new products via hands on product demonstrations, presentations & professional product displays
Drive lead generation through jobsite visits, lead generation services, cold calls etc.
Develop and successfully execute field sales action plans
Achieve and exceed targets, goals, and objectives, as established with Sales Manager
Collaborate with Corporate resources such Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics etc., to deliver exceptional standards of service to ARDEX customers
Represent ARDEX as an industry leader through exceptional professional standards, and a 'customer first' approach.
Experience and Skills:
Minimum 5 years outside sales experience and / or minimum 5 years knowledge of building materials industries is required. Knowledge of flooring installation systems is highly desirable
Must be able to conduct product presentations and demonstrations confidently and professionally
Must be able to operate non power and power tools. Demonstrates good mechanical or hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and service
Technically proficient. Familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements
High level of energy and enthusiasm for the business and be customer-driven and professional
Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory as per advertised amounts, including some overnight.
Must be able to travel occasionally to United States (corporate office training programs)
Must be able to lift to 70 pounds on occasion, with a carrying capability of 55 pounds.
