General Fasteners Company is seeking a motivated Sales Professional with a Hunter Mentality looking to take their career to the next level. We are a progressive, innovative, growing, and stable company looking to expand our customer base across North America. We sell Inventory Management Programs for Fasteners and Assembly Components to large OE Manufacturers looking to improve their operating efficiencies

You would represent the following products and services to the industrial, heavy truck, military and automotive markets:

  • Fasteners, hardware, industrial products and sub-assemblies

  • Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs

  • Custom engineering and design support

  • Mechanical testing services

  • Value Analysis/Value Engineering

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Targeting new and existing accounts for revenue generation

  • Differentiating our offerings by selling our value proposition

  • Maintaining positive relationships and growing revenue with assigned existing accounts

  • Negotiating agreements and terms & conditions

  • Interacting with customer's engineering and quality departments

  • Traveling to cover a broad territory with occasional overnight trips

  • Timely reporting of sales calls, itineraries, and expenses

We are looking for people with these job qualifications:

  • Seasoned sales professional with at least five years of experience selling to the industrial marketplace

  • Possess contacts in the Industrial OEM manufacturing sector, and have proven experience getting in the door and building relationships with new customers

  • Experience selling fasteners or other components to manufacturers, preferably via Vendor Managed Inventory programs

  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite of products, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Bachelors degree preferred in a technical or business discipline

Represent IDEXX to customers and academia. Partner with Sales Force and collaborate with internal teams, providing technical support to sales and marketing, technical training, market trials and other applicable technical activities. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Consult with Practice Owner Veterinarians on medical protocols to promote growth and utilization of IDEXX products, services and medical testing. * Represent IDEXX to customers and academia which may include hosting seminars and continuing education sessions on company products to key influencers at Clinics, University and Veterinary Schools, and other venues. * Partner with Sales Force and other IDEXX areas as needed. Collaborate with internal teams, providing technical support to sales and marketing, technical training, market trials, and other applicable technical activities. * Proactively support the company's products through assisting, creating and reviewing technical materials and presenting technical subjects to a variety of audiences. May assist and write technical documents and/or provide input and approval oversight on marketing and field selling materials. * Provide support to IDEXX Training Department, creating written materials, presentations, and conducting training sessions as appropriate. * Assure compliance with all lDEXX SOP's and procedures relative to product complaints, adverse drug event reporting and client records. * Handle customer (veterinary and end-user) questions providing technical advice and following through on product complaints. * Adhere to and model the IDEXX Purpose & Guiding Principles. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION: * DVM degree or equivalent. * Advanced degree or board certification preferred. EXPERIENCE: * Typically 5-8 years of experience in the Veterinary Industry and/or in Veterinary Practice * Basic knowledge of FDA/CVM regulations * Licensed to practice in at least one state a plus.
