The Sales Process Optimization Lead is an exciting transformational role responsible for the optimization of the Sales Processes across pre-sales, transact and post sales resulting in increased seller time and customer & partner experience. This is a global role which will partner with cross -company executive stakeholders across the company to deliver these recommendations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.
  • 10 years' minimum experience in IT, Operations, Sales, Finance, or Business Development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • Extensive experience in change management and business transformation

  • Exceptional drive for results and demonstration of delivering significant business impact in prior roles

  • Strong demonstrated leadership skills and capabilities in diverse , complex & ambiguous environments

  • Proven ability to communicate and work effectively at all levels across the organization, with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities

  • Conceptual thinker with strong business acumen and intellectual horsepower

  • Excellent cross-group collaboration and demonstrated virtual team leadership capabilities

  • Excellent conceptualization & analytical skills enabling key business insights

  • Set clear & challenging goals for Sales Operations portfolio of work & create influence strategies to achieve broad business goals. Initial key areas of responsibility will include the following;

  • Lead process development work (for the Microsoft Sales Process) in partnership with GSS, GSMO, WCF and Field GTM

  • Executing value stream mapping to identify friction points and or slack in the process

  • Visualizing friction between the expected current process vs. the actual process

  • Rationalize friction & opportunities against in flight MS Ops efforts (e.g. e2e EA Rationalization initiative and others as known)

  • Develop first person narrative to emphasize the desires and first-hand experience of the user

Performs various sales and register transactions FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supervises associates engaged in sales, inventory receipt, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers. Prepares weekly schedules to ensure proper floor coverage within fiscal guidelines. 2. Promotes customer service by ensuring associates are greeting and assisting customers; responds to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner. 3. Performs basic operations activities including cash handling and reporting, price changes, merchandise handling, and open and closing duties; reviews time sheets and other payroll documentation for accuracy and submits as appropriate. 4. Monitors associate sales activities and productivity; acknowledges and communicates performance to associates; motivates and trains associates to achieve full potential 5.
