The Sales Optimization Executive is expected to optimize the sales of our Protection Programs through building relationships with various levels of management. Drive sales within all sales channels. Set Protection Program sales goals in collaboration with client management and their Channel Optimization Manager. Develop, monitor and circulate sales reports and marketing plans to ensure sales goals are met. Consult with client management to make and execute plans for achieving or exceeding sales goals.

  • Communicate sales results and plans for marketing efforts to client and Assurant management.

  • Deliver summary and activity reports at regular business reviews with client.

  • Serve as primary contact between Assurant and client, as it relates to sales for assigned territory.

  • Conduct competitive analysis regularly and prepare reports on the competitive environment.

  • Identify and assist in resolution of customer and client service quality process issues with the Assurant Lifestyle Account Executive to ensure a positive root cause resolution.


  • 4 years in retail or other client-facing environment required

  • High School diploma

  • Ability to engage client leaders personally and communicate effectively, even under stress.

  • Expert user of current business software, including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation software, web browser and email programs.

  • Strong analytical skills-able to analyze sales results, create a plan for improving sales results, and executes the plan.

  • Strong presentation and public-speaking skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of sales and training techniques; client service; account development; multimedia presentation; graphics; and marketing standards.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment meeting tight deadlines while multi-tasking.

The Field Sales Executive is responsible for the direct sale of company products and services to hospitals in the Northwest/Southwest (regional lines may change periodically) using expertise in the hospital marketplace, healthcare information technology, medical informatics, relationship building and networking in the healthcare market. The primary focus of a Field Sales Executive at Clinical Surveillance & Compliance is to generate new sales revenue. We are looking for a person with a high level of energy and initiative to prospect for new customers, close marketing driven leads, and drive all opportunities from inception to invoice. Additional Duties include: * Work remotely, travel up to 50% of the time, and manage their business with a high level of integrity, maturity and a concern for managing all facets of new business sales within the assigned territory. * Build and maintain effective sales plans, pipelines and forecasts. * Identify and build effective relationships with the respective decision-makers, key influencers and stakeholders. * Execute his/her plan by calling on Directors of Pharmacy, Directors of Infection Prevention, C-Suite, Relevant Clinicians, and IT personnel. * Analyze prospective client's business and technology requirements and issues in order to provide software solutions accordingly. * Achieve stated sales objectives on a quarterly and annual basis. * Maintain positive working relationships with Clinical Surveillance & Compliance employees and our valued customers. * Have a strong desire to be a part of a team that is working to improve healthcare by applying technology where it is most needed. * Have a quantifiable and successful sales track record of selling into the hospital market * Possess a strong business acumen, leadership skills, accountability and be a self-starter with excellent written and verbal skills. Education: * BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience. Experience * 5+ years as a top performer with healthcare technology sales experience, preferably selling software solutions to senior (C-Level) hospital executives * Experience selling enterprise software solutions to hospitals with the ability to confidently articulate the value of our products. * Ability to qualify opportunities and assess prospect value and forecast sales opportunities. * Strong presentation, management, and negotiation skills. * Process-oriented, strategic approach to selling with a track record of qualifying and closing complex, high value sales transactions. * Desire to participate in sales training, tools training, and ongoing product specialization training. * Ability to drive the sales process from prospecting through closure.
