The Sales Planning and Performance (SP&P) Analyst is responsible for supporting the SP&P Manager in managing Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) programs for sales groups and sales management globally. He/She acts as a SIP subject matter expert (SME) and ensures that policies and business rules are communicated and adhered to across our global sales groups. He/She works with internal peers and subject matter experts to satisfy end-user requests. The SP&P Analyst compares, contrasts, and analyzes critical performance data elements.

The SP&P Analyst understands SIP policies, procedures, and business rule clarifications to answer sales group questions and resolve issues. He/She trains the field sales groups on the SIP tools, (i.e., Enterprise Sales Planning [ESP], Enterprise Sales Territory and Alignment Tool [ESTAT], etc.) to ensure sales resources have a working knowledge of the SIP tools, an understanding of new business rules and an understanding of SIP policies.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Understands SIP policies, procedures, and business rule clarifications to answer sales group questions and resolve issues

  • Researches SIP program parameter appeals to resolve issues and make final decisions

  • Provides support in evaluating SIP policies, procedures, and processes

  • Communicates SIP implementation schedules to sales groups and sales management to coordinate systems and SIP deployment and training

  • Works with sales groups to troubleshoot issues and problems experienced in the field and to increase sales group productivity

  • Helps analyze quarterly payout information to ensure quality in the process and to provide insights about performance and improvements to the organization

  • Conducts data source searches to ensure pertinent data capture

  • Organizes data into various formats to ensure reports are user-friendly

  • Identifies data collection methods to assist sales force and interpret fluctuations

  • Provides UPS data support to meet requestor's data needs

  • Recommends methods for improving summarization techniques

  • Dissects performance information and verifies data accuracy

Knowledge and Skills

  • Generates reports in appropriate format using basic software; reviews reports to ensure accuracy and completeness; identifies some problems with report generation (e.g., missing variables, incorrect data, etc.)

  • Distinguishes between "big picture" concepts and comments and specialized, smaller specific facts associated with work; notes the specifics of events and experiences; explains, in general, how details impact end goals or outcomes; ensures that work is completed accurately and with the appropriate level of detail.

  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of techniques for soliciting and gathering information; identifies appropriate sources of information

  • Identifies key information sources, assesses information quality, and understands and communicates limitations; relates and compares information from different sources; manages large amounts of data and appropriately applies data reduction and exploratory analysis techniques; makes logical assumptions; challenges own findings and documents process and outcomes; audits own analyses and determines their validity

  • Experience using DHW, Excel, Access, Power BI, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Mathematics, or Computer Science
