Works closely with sales, strategy, product, legal, pricing, and other matrix functions to ensure that client requests are in alignment with contracted services and that client value story is clearly articulated across all request types (proposals, contracts, RFPs, etc)
Responsible for understanding the Sales Operations process including proposals, contracts, RFPs, pricing, product positioning, etc with a keen focus on flawless execution and opportunities to gain efficiencies
Works with the sales strategy team to review and refresh sales targets and market opportunities on an ongoing basis
Serve as point of contact for renewal activity and ensuring that we are working strategically to maximize additional growth opportunities
Works with the implementation teams to ensure details gathered during sales and solutioning process are aligned with downstream kick-off and onboarding/client set-up activities
Works with the product team to ensure that feedback from sales strategy/sales is appropriately informing go to market and/or product development initiatives
Maintain a database of client and provider references for use in RFPs/RFIs/new opportunities
Act as a risk and quality SME on the Optum portfolio of risk and quality solutions, understanding client needs and internal capabilities / priorities to enhance accuracy and expediency of requests
Work in partnership with internal teams to build efficiencies from one request to the next
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Experience in risk adjustment and/or quality for MA, ACA and Medicaid health plans
2 years experience in business development, strategy, implementation or similar role
Knowledge of Optum RQNS risk and quality solutions
