Overview: This Sales/Marketing professional will be responsible for making sales calls on Co-op partners and distributors in the retail market. Will maintain existing business relationships with customers and broker support team to pursue incremental sales opportunities. The individual should be a highly motivated self-starter who is able to work independently, target new business, follow up on sales leads, and close the sale. Individual should be comfortable calling on and presenting to persons from senior level executives down to field level operatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for selectively growing LEDVANCE's market share with Sylvania-branded products while maximizing profitability. Duties include managing a sales territory, analyzing, and acting on business opportunities to increase sales and profit thus achieving/exceeding territory budgeted sales objectives. Other duties include gathering accurate market intelligence regarding competitive activity and providing value-added solutions for customers. The position requires a self-motivated individual who can operate independently but can also work collaboratively with other organizational resources. The position also calls for excellent organizational skills and a sales closer mentality. The chosen candidate will spend at least 50% of their time supporting customers focusing on a sales territory which includes traveling to customer selling shows which requires some overnight travel. The other 50% of the time will be spent in sales support creating promotions, presentations, managing new business target list and sales support for team of selling professionals.

The successful candidate must have a very strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills along with:

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business administration or similar

  • Sales experience

  • Ability to collaborate with a sales agent/brokers

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include (but not limited to) Advanced Excel and Power Point Skills

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Sales account responsibility 50%

  • Creating Planograms

  • Creating Presentations for sales calls

  • Organizing and creating quarterly promotions

  • Inventory management

  • Monthly forecast and budget

  • Ad hoc requests to support the business as required

  • Project/task management 50%

  • Other: Excellent communication, analytical and conceptual thinking, information seeking, confident, customer service orientated, presentation skills, collaboration, organizational awareness & commitment, ability to deliver in fast-paced environment
