The Sales Operations Specialist (SOS) is a valuable resource for Regional Partners and Account Executives. The SOS supports sales and marketing efforts by requesting quotes from appropriate Vendors and Distributors, generating quotes for Customers, managing Opportunities, and corresponding with Customers in an effort to maintain and grow the region. In this role, the SOS is required to interact with Manufacturing Partners, internal business partners, and Customers in a fast-paced support atmosphere. Sales Operations Specialists are a key contact of the Customer's daily interaction with GuidePoint Security. It is the duty of the SOS to support New Business as well as Renewal Business in quota bearing environment. The SOS must keep their finger on the pulse of all Opportunities that they are responsible for in their region. SOS's manage so that it can provide accurate forecasting reports. Additionally, the SOS will assist the Marketing team with planning and coordinating Marketing events in their region. This includes working with Vendors to help sponsor different events, sending out the event invites, and arranging a venue to host the event.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Use to generate quotes, track open opportunities and renewal opportunities

  • Respond to Customer inquires in a timely fashion and move to resolution

  • Serve as a liaison between Customers, Vendors, and GuidePoint outside Sales Executives

  • Develop and retain Product and Industry knowledge, Vendor Resources, and GuidePoint Security Service offerings

  • Develop and maintain relationship with GuidePoint key Vendors and Customers

  • Leverage Vendor resources and relationships to bring Opportunities and Value to Customers

  • Serve as a liaison between GuidePoint outside Sales Executives, Purchasing and Accounting Departments to process and track orders

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Associate Degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school preferred

  • Must be self motivated

  • Must have outstanding attention to detail and commitment to follow-through

  • Technical sales/support and outbound calling experience preferred

  • Ability to work well with a team

  • Prior experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software required. Experience with preferred

  • Strong ability to multitask

  • An unwavering positive attitude, strong drive for results, and the ability to deal with ambiguity are a must

  • Solid Math skills with the ability to calculate margins/discounts, and percentages required

  • Must be open to receiving constructive feedback and applying it to improve their results

  • Demonstrates good judgment in analyzing information to make decisions that benefit GuidePoint Security

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely via email, phone, and written documents

  • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office and Internet Navigation

  • Ability to work flexible work schedule required

Position Overview: The Operations Specialist Intern will be assigned various accounts for daily and monthly review and/or act as an individual contributor for specialized projects and specialized functions within the group. Responsibilities: * Monitor the daily reconciliation system, past due income bank follow up, bank overdrafts and cash differences, tax tables. * Reconcile account holdings/daily activity and research and resolve any outstanding differences. * Facilitate Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Reporting including account review preparation at month end. * Reconcile currency balances between Acadian systems and custodian cash statements; Check that currency accounts are not overdrawn. * Support the Trade Settlement, Corporate Actions/Pricing and Commingled Funds groups with various project work. * Develop and maintain custodian relationships to ensure an effective working relationship and proper attention and maintenance of client accounts. * Respond to requests made by internal groups, custodian banks and clients. Qualifications: * Pursuing Bachelor or Master's degree in a business or finance related program. * Interest in fund accounting/operations or related investment management areas. * Strong analytical background and knowledge of financial accounting principles is helpful. * Strong Excel skills needed; should be proficient in MS Windows 2007 and MS 2007 Office suite. * Detail oriented, flexible, able to work within a team environment, as well as independently. * Ability to exercise sound business judgment when working with confidential information.
