Position Description:

As the Manager of Strategy and Performance Management you will support senior sales leaders in developing sales strategies and tactics, builds and develops a team of performance management analysts, and proactively uses analytics to increase sales productivity.

You will play a key role in helping direct a rapidly growing global sales force worldwide. The position is located in the Qualtrics Corporate Office in Provo, Utah.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire, develop, and lead a top-notch analyst team to drive insights on sales performance.

  • Proactively work with senior sales leaders to identify areas of opportunity for teams, geographic regions, and market segments. Guide leaders in prioritizing proposals based on impact to revenue and sales productivity.

  • Provide data-driven insights to senior sales leaders to help exceed quarterly hiring goals.

  • Conduct analysis and prepare presentations for sales leadership, executive committtee , and board of directors meetings.

  • Lead special strategic projects for the Head of Global Sales and Sales Operations.

  • Design, evaluate, and advise on systems and internal processes to support a rapidly evolving sales organization.

  • Collaborate with peers on the Sales Strategy and Analytics teams to share and apply best practices globally.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or other quantitative field. MBA/MS in Finance, operations management, strategy, or advanced analytics.

  • 3-6 years total experience in Management Consulting or in B2B Sales Operations, Sales Finance, or similar function.

  • Expert ability in Microsoft Excel, particularly structuring, analyzing, and reporting on large data sets, using pivot tables, etc. Strong familiarity with SQL (e.g. writing queries) and using BI tools (Tableau preferred), and using a data warehouse environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (e.g. ability to structure, create, and present to senior management.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Sales/Service clouds and reporting in Salesforce.com.

  • Experience in direct B2B sales, preferably in SaaS software.

What Impact You Will Have: The Manager of Sales Operations will partner closely with Sales leadership, Legal, Finance and Operations to drive business development planning, productivity, organizational initiatives and client support. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying process improvements in sales methodologies, pipeline management and forecasting, sales performance metrics and operational planning. This position is part of the sales leadership team and requires extensive cross-department coordination at all levels, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to analyze, present and advise comprehensive data sets that inform enterprise decision making. The position will participate in overall strategy discussions and facilitate business execution. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the hiring, performance management, coaching and goal-setting of other members of the Sales Operations team. Responsibilities A Day in the Life: * Develop and implement sales processes for Business Development and core Sales focused on increasing Sales Qualified Opportunities (SQOs), pipeline growth and opportunity creation * Manage (either directly or by delegation) the tools that support sales processes, pipeline growth and opportunity creation including Salesforce.com, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo and other sales acceleration technologies * Liaise with Marketing stakeholders on Inbound business development process, including handoff to Sales and tracking, reporting and analyzing key success metrics * Coordinate the development and production of sales performance metrics dashboards & reports to measure sales force productivity to ensure effective implementation of established strategies and tactics * Oversee the development, implementation and automation of critical business processes and tools to track revenue forecasting, pipeline reporting and governance * Manage the onboarding, training and performance of Sales Operations staff including establishing core responsibilities, relevant tools/systems, and policies and procedures * Prepare presentations and communications for key stakeholders (including sales reps) and recurring sales leadership meetings * Drive analytics to understand industry and competitive dynamics, evaluate the overall performance of the sales team, and the impact of specific initiatives * Provide business intelligence and advice to facilitate executive decisions Qualifications What You'll Need: * Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field; MBA preferred * Demonstrated technical proficiency in CRM, Data Visualization, Social Selling and Sales Acceleration tools such as Salesforce.com, Domo, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Outreach, etc. * 6+ years of relevant experience in a sales operations, finance, operational or analytics function * Strong experience in scenario building, forecasting and analysis and 3+ years of people management experience * Strong critical thinking skills and an analytical orientation with experience data mining, generating and interpreting metrics * Demonstrated understanding of the sales cycle. High competency in written and oral communication; strong interpersonal skills * Ability to listen, collect and understand appropriate information; identify the concerns of others * Strong meeting and facilitation skills * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to drive execution, meet goals and timelines * Demonstrated ability to coach and manage direct reports to complete assigned tasks in support of complex initiatives * Demonstrated ability to package data into reporting formats that address various audiences and purposes. Ability to extract and summarize large amounts of data * Ability to work independently in unstructured environment, be proactive and learn quickly.
