Sales Operation Manager
The Sales Operation Manager will help create and analyze weekly point of sale data, reporting, office management and admin responsibilities. A successful candidate will be able to gather necessary data from multiple sources and implement into cohesive weekly reporting allowing data to be easily manipulated and analyzed. The candidate should utilize their expertise to outline trends in sales, inventory, profitability and product mix with recommendations for promotional and marketing opportunities. The successful incumbent will provide sales and financial analysis data to support strategic initiatives. In addition, this role will also handle office management and admin responsibilities.
Collaborate with THD team to grow overall category POS and help deliver on key THD and Stanley Black & Decker metrics.
Develop and maintain POS, WOS & shipment scorecards and provide analysis on drivers of trends.
Assist Sales team in promotional management and profitability.
Effectively and clearly communicate key trends and metrics in weekly reporting.
Drive additional projects such as catalog content audits, retail profitability, analyzing Box Quantities and SKU Rationalization to make recommendations to sales and marketing.
Promotional review of selected items against key metrics. Provide over-all assessment of promotional activity, including future recommendations to ensure identified key metrics are met.
Have a strong market understanding and associated trends. This includes but not limited to: market share by brand/retailer, impact of current market conditions, future growth/ declining segments, and over-all global insight and impacts thereof.
Provide if /then analysis of item/segment changes in profitability, POS, WOS, and share impact at retailer.
Office Management: Point of contact for property management group, manage and pay office utilities, order office supplies and mail management.
Special events registration and travel accommodations a few times a year, build and manage special event budget yearly, and on occasion help with expense reporting through concur.
SELECTION STANDARDS REQUIRED:
Minimum Bachelors Degree in Business, Economics or similar field of study
Minimum 2 years of financial, sales, or marketing analysis experience. Experience with THD preferred
Strong analytical skills and computer skills required, including proficiency in MS Office Suite with advanced level excel skills
Experience with vendor drill highly preferred
Extremely detail oriented, with an ability to manage multiple projects, while meeting aggressive deadlines
Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal & written) and leadership skills
Ability to extract, manipulate and analyze data as well as mining data for insight
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Basic ability to work independently
