JOB DESCRIPTION: SALES OPERATION MANAGER

ROLE / TITLE: Sales Operations Manager

As Sales Operations Manager, youll play a critical role in improving and scaling our sales operations to efficiently serve our quickly growing customer base. You will assist in approving reliability of sales forecasts and sales effectiveness. This role will report to the Chief Revenue Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own end-to-end process of tracking the sales funnel and operational metrics.
  • Define and deliver insights to management, as well as, propose techniques to improve efficiencies and funnel performance.
  • Build and help to standardize sales reporting for strategic analysis in internal business review.
  • Track and analyze key metrics including pipeline growth, win/loss rates, and quota attainment.
  • Present campaign and pipeline performance leveraging reporting functions and dashboards available in sales tool suite.
  • Create monthly content for executive presentations and Board reporting.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new sales talent on tools and process.
  • Refine customer segmentation, assist with territory planning and management, help with compensation structures and tracking, as well as, ideate plans for enhanced renewals and upsell processes.
  • Preparing quarterly business review presentations.
  • Manage and admin all technical aspects of key sales systems (Salesforce, Zoom, LinkedIn Navigator, etc.)
  • Create and maintain documentation on sales processes and policies.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelors or Masters in business-related field, such as business, management or marketing

    SKILLS & TRAITS REQUIRED

  • 5-10 years of experience in sales operations, preferably at an enterprise software or technology platforms and services company.
  • Ability to understand high level sales strategies, translate them into system and process requirements, and ensure execution and business impact.
  • Innate drive to innovate and optimize use of available resources.
  • Strong analytical and advanced problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment.

  • Proficient with online presentation and training services (Zoom, GoToMeeting, WebEx).
  • Advanced experience using CRM tools to track prospects and deals, as well as, produce reports.

The selected individual will manage all aspects of sales operations including (Copper) CRM, sales order entry, reporting, sales training and all business decisions related to Luminar's Deal Desk including discounting, deal structure and deal terms. This role serves as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Accounting, Legal, Purchasing, Product and Operations in an effort to ensure accurate and timely processing of sales orders. Responsibilities * Hire, develop and manage a team focused on improving business performance by defining and optimizing business processes (e.g., forecasting, planning, budgeting, business reviews), monitoring execution and driving accountability/visibility of progress against goals and objectives * Manage Luminar's Deal Desk to ensure quick and efficient processing of sales quotations and proposals * Work with Finance to ensure standardization for discounting and deal terms * Manage Luminar's CRM tool to ensure BD and Customer Success teams consistently enter information about their sales opportunities * Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives * Provide weekly reports to senior management including Book, Bill and Backlog, Sales Forecasts, Sales Pipeline, Win / Loss, etc. * Effectively incorporates customer delivery schedules and operational changes into future revenue forecasts and revenue timeline considerations * Provide updates to management regarding forecast to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities * Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals * Communicate best practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance * Drive implementation of new processes and procedures * Manage all aspects of Product and Skill training for BD and Customer Success teams * Serving as the point contact for Business Development to support RFI and RFQ responses Minimum Qualifications * 10+ years automotive sales ops work experience * 3+ years experience within an automotive OEM or Tier 1 in a manufacturing setting * The ideal candidate will have 5 years demonstrated experience in B2B organizations leading and developing a team to support business development, preferably in the automotive industry * Extensive experience working with CRM tools * Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected * Excellent relationship management skills * Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format * BS/BA in Business, Economics or technical discipline * Comfortable acting independently across Internal and External teams to drive results Preferred Qualifications * Experience working with ERP * MBA or MS/MA in a financial discipline Luminar Orlando FL
