The Business Insights Analyst, SVB Private Bank and Wealth Advisory will work closely with the Head of Business Insights, Lending and Service to monitor and assess the Private Bank KPI's and develop additional insights and analysis in support of the business. The Business Analyst will provide ongoing analytical insights into the performance and trends of the business, focusing on both analyzing historical data and creating predictive future data on which the business leaders can base decisions. Additionally, the Business Analyst will ensure rigor, efficiency and effectiveness in managing Private Bank data as well as the analysis process lifecycle for the business. This individual will be dynamic and engaging, able to build relationships across multiple dimensions, and have deep analytical acumen.

Key Activities:

  • Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement. Use analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations.

  • Develop and implement analytical frameworks to monitor and optimize the concrete impact our initiatives are having on key business results.

  • Package strategic and analytical insights into clear, concise and "executive-ready" presentations.

  • Evaluate trends in external and internal data to discover and manage leading indicators of business success

  • Involve problem frame-works, develop hypotheses, test and analysis, solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring plan

  • Leverage conceptual thinking skills with rigorous analytics to present to support recommendations.

  • Participate with PB Leadership in regular Business Planning exercises and prepare key documents and analyses that roll up to the Corporate Business Planning.

  • Bachelor degree or higher in a math, business, engineering or related field required

  • 4 - 8 years of experience in a strategic, financial or analytical roles

  • Financial services industry experience desired

The role will partner with our Gaming Americas team, which supports some of the largest gaming advertisers on platform. This position will have a day-to-day focus on providing strategic, operational and analytical support for Facebook's Gaming organization with the primary objective of enabling sales leadership to make effective, analytically driven and strategic operating decisions which will drive revenue growth and operational effectiveness across the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and experience managing large data sets, the ability to synthesize and make recommendations based on imperfect data from multiple sources, strong business intuition to guide their analysis, and the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally, supporting internal stakeholders that have external-facing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will also be passionate about Facebook, interested in digital media and advertising, intellectually curious, comfortable with ambiguity, confident in their time management skills, comfortable presenting to groups, and excited about joining a high-impact team. BUSINESS PLANNING AND OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE – GAMING SALES RESPONSIBILITIES * Partnerships: Develop strong collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and partners across the company, including leading cross-functional task forces on major initiatives Business Insights: Conduct insightful analysis using internal and external data (e.g. revenue, product, market, industry, competitive trends) to derive insights that will drive strategic business decisions Rhythm of the business: Design and execute on a standard cadence of operations (e.g., goal-setting, revenue reviews, key account planning, etc.) Strategic Planning: Lead recurring planning processes and partner with sales leaders on how to optimize resources to drive growth, including medium/long-term planning focused on market opportunity sizing, product focus, resourcing and org design Hypothesis Development: Identify and solve strategic questions related to Facebook's largest business opportunities. Identify, scope and deliver critical projects and initiatives for the Gaming business, partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization Automation and efficiency: Develop standard processes and tools/dashboards that can be scaled globally MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or analytical field (e.g. Business, Marketing, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics). 3+ years of experience in Strategy consulting, Investment Banking, Sales Operations or Business Planning, or 2+ years' experience with an MBA. Analytical skills and proficiency in Excel with demonstrated experience in building Excel models to solve business problems end-to-end. Proven stakeholder management experience - including managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Proficiency in SQL (create, maintain, and improve data sets, pipelines and reporting) and experience extracting data from large/complex databases highly preferred.
