The Sales Operations Analyst works both within sales and cross-functionally with various organizations to provide:

  • Salesforce administrative management of user base properties (roles, hierarchies, views, etc)

  • Salesforce process functionality management including process design and streamlining to ensure best practices. To include management of objects, layouts, views, fields, triggers, etc

  • Analytical and statistical support to the sales team by delivering consistent, accurate and timely analyzes, reports and data summaries to sales, finance and/or the executive team.

The Sales Operations Analyst will continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the salesforce data, processes and reporting structures and will recommend improvements to maximize systems information and usage

Principal Responsibilities

  • Understand and update administrative properties (roles, hierarchies, views, and user features) to facilitate accurate reporting and roll-ups based on a growing sales organization.

  • Perform SFDC administration, including but not limited to managing custom fields, objects, layouts, views, triggers, security configuration, and workflows in support of sales data analysis.

  • Understanding and management of Salesforce CPQ

  • Understanding and work experience with Salesforce Contracting module

  • Conduct sales analysis and provide direction and insight to support the sales team.

  • Gather, model and visualize sales data for use by sales, finance, executives or others as appropriate.

  • Work closely with various departments to develop key reports and dashboards for use across the organization.

  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to align with strategic department goals and evaluate organizational performance.

  • Evaluate current reports, dashboards, and analytical processes and implement recommendations for improvement.

  • Ensure sales data is accurate, consistent globally and cross-functionally and instills confidence in effectiveness for evaluations.

  • Ability to work with D&B and other 3rd party tools to maximize the value of Salesforce information at the field sales level.

  • Produce data quality reports and implement process to correct any issues.

  • Assistance in constructing Board of Director reporting

Position Requirements

  • Advanced Excel skills, including proven experience managing and summarizing diverse large data sets, compiling reports, and performing analyses.

  • Ability to understand complex system logic and processes and use this knowledge to analyze strategic decisions.

  • Experience collaborating with sales or cross-functional teams to gather critical information and deliver data-driven analyses and recommendations.

  • experience (or equivalent), particularly administrative functions at a basic to intermediate level.

  • Ability to communicate messages clearly and succinctly to a variety of roles and skill levels.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prepare materials with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Positive attitude and able to maintain a pleasant, professional demeanor.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

  • Work various hours and/or extended hours as needed to support key initiatives

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business Management, Communications, Business Administration or related discipline preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, sales operations, finance, marketing operations, IT or related field.
