The JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Sales & Marketing Analysts will work in our global Sales Operations group to support our businesses' Sales & Marketing organizations. The right candidate will help us collect and analyze sales and marketing information and data; evaluate the effectiveness of existing sales and marketing programs; research and analyze specific target-markets, competitors, and growth opportunities; and develop and deploy sales and marketing programs to drive organic revenue growth for each of our businesses. This includes researching and evaluating current macro- and micro-economic conditions, industry trends, and customer growth drivers that can have an impact on our sales.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, and/or a related field is required for this position.

  • 2-5 years of prior experience and internships are highly beneficial.

  • Well-rounded business experiences in sales, customer service, marketing communications, and/or customer and industry events-either through internships or related work.

  • Thorough understanding of relational databases and data management tools.

  • Custom reports and dashboards

  • Workflows, rules, permissions, alerts

  • Integration with other applications and third-party tools

  • User administration and training

  • Data cleansing and master data management

  • Evaluating, scoping, and completing new development requests

  • Release & upgrade management and documentation

  • Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Suite

  • Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

  • Ability to meet project deadlines and exceed key performance indicators.

  • Proactive and able to work independently.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Ability to work well within a global, virtual team environment.

  • Atlanta-based and within reasonable proximity to our Alpharetta office. You should have an ability to travel domestically and/or internationally from time to time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducting analysis to provide support for our strategic plans for increasing organic revenues.

  • Aiding sales & marketing leadership as they use our sales & marketing systems and data to support forecasts, budgets, and sales & marketing programs for revenue growth.

  • Coordinating with the leaders of our various businesses to retrieve, format, and analyze sales & marketing data for business reviews.

  • Conducting analysis and providing reports to management in support of day-to-day business.

  • Helping align our global sales & marketing organizations around common best practices for creating organic revenue growth.

  • Aiding in the alignment of our different marketing organizations using common marketing communications programs and campaigns, marketing automation tools, planning disciplines, and marketing ROI reporting and analysis.

  • Aiding in the alignment of our different sales and sales management organizations using common sales process, CRM tools, and sales performance reporting and analysis.

  • Helping to drive the continued alignment and utilization of our Customer Relationship Management

  • Providing our sales and marketing teams with guidance and best practices for system utilization and data management aligned to our Sales & Marketing processes.

  • Preparing and cleansing both incoming and existing data to ensure long-term sustainability and data integrity.

  • Working one-on-one with users to address process, system, data, and/or reporting related questions as needed.

  • User experience and accuracy testing for new features.

  • Providing overall Sales & Marketing operations support to our commercial teams within each business.

  • Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual Sales & Marketing reporting and analysis such as forecast summaries, sales performance and variances, activity and metrics, variable compensation reporting, marketing ROI, etc.

  • Assisting our various Marketing organizations with initiatives such as: lead data entry and reporting, trade show and event lead management, reporting on Marketing metrics, assisting with the coordination and logistics for Marketing events and campaigns as needed.

  • Maintaining documentation and training on corporate Sales & Marketing processes and policies.

  • Maintaining a master corporate Sales & Marketing calendar.

  • Assisting the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer and other senior commercial leaders from time to time with ad hoc reporting and other specific Sales & Marketing projects as assigned.

Data Analyst, Marketing Operations Position Overview The Data Analyst, Marketing Operations will help to drive all aspects of data modeling, analysis and interpretation for all go-to-market strategy and programs. Working closely with other members of the Reporting & Analytics team, you will develop, analyze and present meaningful data and insights to Marketing and other key stakeholders, making recommendations based off your analysis that will influence the marketing execution strategy. The person who assumes this role will work closely with Marketing Services, Business Unit Marketing, Sales Reporting and Analytics, Sales Operations, and IT. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? * Deep dive into quantitative analysis, data mining, cleansing, and interpretation to translate business challenges into relevant and rigorous analytical initiatives * Creating, maintaining, and improving internal data sets, defining the right metrics, reporting, dashboarding, and visualizations on the performance and state of our marketing campaigns, channels, and customers * Develop models for attribution, performance forecasting and persona development * Discover and adopt new techniques and tools to ensure the team stays at the forefront of modern large-scale data processing and analysis techniques. * Act as both a facilitator of and an agent of change when it comes to data-based decisioning in the Marketing department What are the requirements needed for this position? * 4-year degree required; major in mathematics, statistics, computer science or business analytics strongly preferred or equivalent work experience * 5 years of experience working in a data analyst role, preferably within a marketing-focused role or related organization What other skills/experience would be helpful to have? * TIBCO Spotfire Certified Professional (strongly preferred) or similar certification offered by leading developers of enterprise visualization platforms (Microsoft, Tableau, Qlik, etc.). * Database querying using SQL (or similar query language), data mining and statistical packages such as R or Python and hands-on use of BI/visualization tools; Tibco Spotfire strongly preferred but platforms such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Qlik and others acceptable. * Strong working knowledge of databases and data warehousing techniques. * Strongly preferred: experience working with marketing data sets found within a marketing tech stack: CRM, marketing automation, web analytics and customer data platforms. * Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment; ability to identify and resolve business analysis challenges with limited assistance. * Hunger and drive to continually develop and refine metric approaches, models and dashboards that provide deep business insight and improve marketing capabilities and performance.
