Summary: The National Sales Manager for Sun Shading Solutions (S3) will serve as the primary external point of contact for the Nice product portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with a strong hunter mentality and a proven track record in sales. This role requires comfort with an ever-changing set of responsibilities. The National Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing short and long-term sales and business development strategies to reach the Nice Sun Shading Solutions sales and margin goals for company products in their assigned area.
Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory. Develops and implements agreed upon sales plan to meet both personal and business goals of expanding the customer base. Works with our teams to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.
Primary Responsibilities: Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts. Act as the primary external point of contact for the Sun Shading Portfolio, proactively recruiting new qualifying partners.
Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts. Proactively lead a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship. Proactively assess, clarify, and validate partner needs on an ongoing basis, this includes but is not limited to customer demand forecasting.
Manage potential channel conflict with other firms by fostering excellent communication internally and externally. Lead solution development efforts that best address installer and end-user needs while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel. Ensure partner compliance with all partner agreements.
Drive adoption of company programs among assigned partners. Submit a weekly sales report that details current and pending sales. Industry trends, key opportunities, current challenges, and competitive intelligence, providing insights and recommendations based on the analysis.
Achieve assigned sales quota in designated territory and meet profitability expectations. Develop and complete partner account plans that adhere to company standards and maintain high partner satisfaction ratings in line with company benchmarks. Complete required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
Closely coordinate company executive involvement with partner and installer management as appropriate. Work closely with Department VP, marketing, tech support, and product management to ensure our portfolio, pricing, assets, etc., meet our customers and internal needs. Provide 6-month rolling forecast quarterly.
Other Duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years sales experience in associated perimeter security products. Shades and shading motor is a plus.
Bachelor's degree preferred. Technical background with experience in fence or gate manufacturing, perimeter security and/or access control industry a plus. Window Covering, Custom Install/Automation, CEDIA experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Intermediate to advanced sales reporting utilizing CRM (i.e., Salesforce.com), and MS Office applications required. Proven ability to foster and develop Net New Customers, hunter mentality.
Start Up, Business owner mentality. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to make professional presentations and implement sales programs to meet company sales goals.
Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, energetic, self-confident with the ability to personally drive sales growth while strategically developing those same skills sets in others. Highly competent in relationship building, negotiation, organization, and technical sales skills. Ability to sell a technical premium product at a premium price in a competitive environment.
Experience with selling solutions in a complex, multi-level sales channel. Positive attitude, self-motivated and eager to succeed. Physical Requirements:
