Primary responsibility is to act in a trusted advisory role to create and execute sales and marketing plans using our suite of digital and products, events and contests to help small and medium businesses in your territory grow. We are looking for true sales and marketing professionals who can use consultative selling methods to uncover and understand the needs of businesses, thoughtfully craft a proposal designed to address those needs, close and execute the agreement.
Required: College diploma, valid driver's license, a reliable insured vehicle and a minimum of two years of relevant sales experience
Strongly Preferred: Experience in sales and knowledge knowledge of online advertising sales including online and targeted display on all devices, SEO, SEM, social media, websites, video, mobile and analytics.
College bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or related field strongly preferred. Previous digital sales, newspaper or other media sales experience a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must have the desire to be a true and successful salesperson, and willing to embrace cold calling initiatives when needed.
Must be able to work independently within the parameters of the position, make sound business decisions, and problem solve as needed. Must be very well organized and self-directed with a focus on goal attainment as top priority.
Must have strong customer service skills that focus on customer retention and a professional demeanor and appearance.
Must be very driven, attentive to detail, organized and goal oriented with strong time management skills. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with customers, colleagues and staff.
Must routinely apply logic to troubleshoot solutions to achieve customer satisfaction.
Excellent communication ability including phone skills and etiquette are a must
Strong typing, spelling and grammatical skills required as well as basic computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet. Knowledge of social media preferred.
