For this internship, candidates have excellent opportunities to work with senior-level quality engineers and co-develop new tools to assist in managing customer requests or issues.

Additional responsibilities may be quite diverse in a technical nature and will vary significantly depending on the areas needing support within the customer quality engineering team.

Qualifications

You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

Minimum Requirements

The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 3 months experience in:

  • Marketing.

  • Sales.

  • Engineering.

Role As a Technical Marketing Manager (TMM) for Splunk's core products you will be the main technical point-person within the Platform Product Marketing team. You will drive and reinforce the technical value proposition of the Splunk platform, including Splunk Cloud, Splunk Enterprise, the Splunk Machine Learning Toolkit, as well as emerging technologies. You will build supporting sales collateral and tools. You will preset our products to industry analysts and customers. You will also develop compelling product demos for sales teams that showcase the power of Splunk products for appropriate use cases and audiences. The role involves ownership and project management of technical marketing initiatives, such as those described above, and working closely with other members of the Splunk marketing, sales, product management and development teams. Responsibilities * Product demonstrations: You will design, deliver, and train the field on value-based demonstrations. * Product launches: You will be a leader in product launches, building technical product messaging, pitching Splunk's technology to analysts and press, and developing product collateral and sales tools and general support of the launch plan. * Sales tools: You will develop technical product presentations, whitepapers, product guides, product videos, technical briefs, and other tools to enable sales teams to sell the Splunk platform story effectively. * Product evangelism: You will evangelize Splunk and demonstrate the value of our platform at conferences and tradeshows, and to leading analysts and our valued customers and partners. * Industry events: You will attend key industry tradeshows and other events to represent Splunk and showcase our technologies. Required Skills and Background * 10+ of professional experience in enterprise software, including 4+ years of experience in technical product marketing, product management, sales engineering, professional services, or as a data analytics practitioner/analyst. * 2+ years of hands-on experience using and installing Splunk Cloud and Splunk Enterprise. * A knack for using new software tools—from video screen-capture and editing, to collaboration software, and beyond. * Ability to identify and tackle technical tasks related to infrastructure, networking, and other areas, to improve software demo performance. * Passionate about groundbreaking technology and storytelling, with strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. * Experience establishing value and translating this into effective technology-based demonstration stories and use cases. * Ability to effectively articulate and showcase technology with flair, and to different audiences. * Self-starter who truly enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative software company.
