Position Overview:

Create value through establishing relationships with end building owners in the commercial building market through direct sales of high value solutions and services leveraging the industry trends of IP network connected and controlled devices. Molex relevance comes from providing technology in a totally integrated solution.

The person in the role is the early sponsor in the development of new strategic accounts. The person in the role oversees bid strategies, pricing, teaming, proposal strategies targeted at 'new' strategic accounts. Develop and maintain relationships horizontally across the channel.

Essential Functions:

  • Act as resource to the field sales team to assist with cross functional efforts.

  • Leads Capture of major new opportunities (Strategic Accounts) by working across functional teams to include product management, customer support and logistics with a focus on Strategic Solutions.

  • Works to support Consultants, Specifiers, Architects, and Partners, on gaining spec position.

  • Conducts additional pricing analysis for assigned accounts competitive, strategic or alternate channel.

  • Supports mega-project selling efforts (own or established Strategic Accounts); RFI/RFQ responses, price strategy setting, creation of ROI analyses, past performance validation, project specific Marketing inputs, etc.

  • Keeps the organization informed of trends, opportunities, and customer requirements on new Strategic Accounts.

  • In the absence of local US Marketing resource sponsors product seminars and/or technical events. Works with other areas of the organization to provide technical (demos, spec reconciliation), operational (trials), and general first efforts on Advanced Solutions, as needed.

  • Works with partner sales force to ensure that Marketing provides current and effective collateral material (messaging and value propositions).

  • Terms/Agreement development and negotiation, teaming and participation in public forums.

  • Manages good control of expense budgets with appropriate planning of meetings / travel

Position Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical major or related work experience
  • 5+ years direct sales in the IT, Data Networking industries, or technical commercial building sales.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree MBA
  • Direct SCS/IP Infrastructure/physical layer or IP system and device experience, services selling/management/operations, project management knowledge.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Able to understand business issues, and trends, that impact the account's success.

  • Good understanding of business metrics and data used in the market place and how it applies.

  • Interpersonal skills to effectively work with co-workers and external contacts to effectively build relationships, respond positively to situations, and influence others.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express ideas, exchange information clearly and concisely, and conduct effective presentations and delivery of message that fit's the audience (customers and Molex personnel).

  • Able to manage well in in situations with high level of ambiguity.

  • Foster teamwork to manage conflicts, promote creativity, and resolve issues.

  • Organizational skills to anticipate, plan, prioritize and self-monitor workload.

  • Experience developing sales plans

  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, set and achieve goals, show leadership / facilitation skills with a positive approach.

  • Able to travel to customers as needed.

In this role the Parts Sales Manager will represent Navistar Parts to a group of assigned International Truck Dealers as well as fleet customers within the territory, and will be responsible for implementing parts growth strategies, training Dealer parts counter and outside parts sales staff on Navistar programs, and developing strong relationships with all Dealer personnel. Navistar's dealer network includes over 800 International and IC Bus dealership locations across North America and a leader in aftermarket parts and service. This role is key to the success of our dealers, customers, and Navistar.Responsibilities include: * Parts growth by working with the assigned dealers• Training dealer personnel on Navistar Parts systems and programs• Calling on fleet customers in the assigned dealer markets• Developing retail sales strategies to conquest new business and expand sales to existing customers• Ensure dealership parts merchandising for Navistar programs are current to increase retail parts sales• Increase awareness and grow Navistar's private brand of Fleetrite products• Support National Accounts parts programs by ensuring assigned dealers are providing high levels of service and support• Engage aftermarket suppliers for local support to assigned dealers and fleet customers• Have a one-team approach with the regional Truck and Service teams to dealers and customers and to maximize customer uptime Position Purpose and Requirements Sales leadership responsible for selling the company's products or services, sales results, executing the organization's sales plan in order to grow businesses and margins by developing and implementing sales strategies and tactics, as well as developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts. Performs as a resource with high level knowledge of company products and services and introduces new products. Basic Requirements: * Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of sales experience * At least 1 year of lead experience OR * Master's degree and at least 6 years of sales experience * At least 1 year of lead experience OR * At least 10 years of sales experience * At least 1 year of lead experience Additional Requirements * Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
