Position Summary

Sales Manager

Wyman-Gordon is a worldwide supplier to the aerospace and industrial gas turbine markets. We hold quality accreditations for all of the major airframe and engine manufacturers for both civil and military applications. Wyman-Gordon Pennsylvania, a division of Precision Castparts Corporation (PCC), is a manufacturing leader of Flash Welded and Cold Rolled near net shaped rings primarily used in commercial and military aircraft. We are currently seeking a highly motivated person to fill a Sales Manager for the Mountaintop facility located in Northeast Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate for us is willing to learn a new industry and aimed to provide exceptional customer service. We are willing to train and are looking for a person that is interested in growing their career at Wyman Gordon.


Position's primary responsibility is management of key customers, participation in sales strategy development for the business unit maintaining quarterly and annual material and product contract pricing, and participation in cross functional teams to address processes, systems and functional areas that impact sales.


  • Supports, solicits and negotiates commercial contracts for domestic and international companies.

  • Develops all outgoing estimates and pricing proposals to field account representatives

  • Manage plant sales backlog and customer quoting, scheduling and pricing integrity.

  • Participates in development of business unit/plant policy for areas that directly impact or are impacted by sales, such as market, pricing, forecasting, account receivables and production.

  • Executes sales plan developed for fiscal year by focusing on sales to key customers, management of those relationships and coordination of internal activities in support of sales to the customer.

  • Participates in Teams of cross-functional personnel for the purpose of reorganizing/improving functions affected by sales.

  • Establish and build strong client relationships. Reinforce this relationship by sales/delivery programs and interface with other relevant company disciplines.

  • Orchestrates sales plan to maintain major account relationships and meet plant sales targets.

  • Maintain material and product pricing quarterly and on an annual basis for multiple customers through varying methods of pass thru.

  • Project manages new Product introduction (NPI) process in conjunction with engineeringEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or Business

  • Five (5) years in related sales support positions.

  • Knowledge of Wyman-Gordon products and manufacturing process is basic requirement

  • Knowledge of computer software. Adept at Microsoft Office to communicate with customers and internal management current sales and deliver impacts.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of functions within sales, marketing and operations.

  • Knowledge of Wyman-Gordon standard terms and conditions of sales and accounting procedures when submitting quotations/invoices and discussions with customers.

  • Thorough knowledge of Wyman-Gordon work flow to process orders and also handle any problems with them promptly and efficiently.


Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to motivate both internally and within the customers for sales purposes.

Proficient at multi-tasking

  • Ability to deal with ease under pressure from a fast paced production schedule, customer demands, operational and managerial conflicts.

  • Able to convey technical and conceptual material to individuals at all levels in customer organizations as well as in Wyman-Gordon business unit.

  • Ability to set and deliver goals.

The CSM develops and maintains positive relationships with commercial customers by managing the acquisition and delivery of products, providing ongoing customer service, and maintaining expert knowledge on parts and inventory. The CSM exceeds customer's expectation by delivering WOW! Customer Service to all AZ Commercial accounts by Living the Pledge everyday. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully maintaining and developing commercial sales. Develop new accounts through face to face and telephone contact with potential customers * Act as the primary contact for commercial customers; Actively maintain open lines of communication between AutoZone and commercial customers * Ensure efficient delivery of products by planning delivery routes and managing drivers. Ensures appropriate delivery documentation is generated for each delivery * Act as a consultative partner to commercial customers by maintaining expert knowledge on automotive parts and industry; Conduct research to guarantee the customer is offered the 'right part for the right price' * Maintain records and billing for commercial accounts; processes returns and reconciles accounts * Visits commercial accounts and ensures accounts are serviced and deliveries are made as promised. Contribute to the AutoZone 'one-team' environment by assisting customers and AutoZoners with various aspects of the business * Build and maintain strong relationship with management team. Assists with training and developing drivers, commercial specialist, and other AutoZoners as directed by the SM or DM * Maintains a safe working environment while ensuring AutoZoners are implementing those practices including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) * Follows proper accident and claim procedures. Complies with safe driving rules and procedures and ensures all Commercial Zoners have approved driver status * Properly maintains vehicle(s) and takes the necessary steps to report vehicle maintenance issues. REQUIREMENTS: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required * Effective leader with excellent communication skills, strong decision making abilities, and excellent selling skills * Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise * Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the business needs, including holidays, evenings and weekend shifts Autozone Mountain Top PA
