Job Summary
If you have previous experience in sales and are looking for a new position that will allow you to blend those skills with managerial duties, then we are offering you the position that you've been searching for. We are looking for a sales manager to help coordinate the efforts of our sales team in order to bring on new clients to contribute to the growth of our business. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing the support needed to ensure the success of our salespeople, whether through generating leads, providing background information, or assisting in the close of a transaction. You will also be able to work closely with our management team in monitoring our sales efforts.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and support to our sales team members, along with the education and example needed in order to help guarantee their success.
  • Generate sales leads by working closely with our marketing and advertising department and presenting information on our company at trade shows and conventions.
  • Work with our management team as well as our salespeople in analyzing sales performance to develop ambitious yet attainable sales goals for the current fiscal year.
  • Coordinate the distribution of leads to the members of our sales team according to each salesperson's designated geographic area, and then follow up on those leads to help ensure that they result in customer conversion.
  • Educate yourself on our entire portfolio of products so as to become a resource of information for both our staff and our customers.
  • Travel with salespeople when necessary to meet with current and prospective clients to help resolve concerns.
  • Suggest product improvements to our research and development departments based upon client feedback.
  • Present quarterly reports to our management team detailing the sales team's progression towards annual goals.
Job Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field
  • 5 years of experience in technical sales
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as well as accounting and analytic programs
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • 1 year of managerial or supervisory experience or 8 years of experience in technical sales
  • Prior experience in planning and/or data modeling

VIEW JOBS 11/18/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-16T00:00 Job Description This person will be responsible for development of the United States and Canada food and pharmaceutical territory, of which the primary focus shall be upon the United States market and secondary focus upon the Canadian market. Additionally, this person will coordinate all activities within these areas, provide training, technical support, and joint sales calls for the distribution network. Establishing plans and strategies to further develop the North American customer base and key accounts and develop new applications for the company's product in these accounts/market segments. The scope and magnitude of the Regional Manager are as follows: + Development of a business plan and sales strategies for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals. + Initiate and coordinate the development of action plans to penetrate new markets. + Responsible for the development and performance of the distributor network with 80% of available time dedicated to the US market and the balance dedicated to the Canadian market. + Identify and develop necessary sales and marketing tools for both the distributors and key accounts. This should include technical articles, advertising, and trade show participation as deemed necessary. + Establish sales and revenue objectives on an annual and quarterly basis. + Provide technical training to end users, OEM's, and distributors/agents. + Provide timely and accurate proposals to end users, OEM's, and distributors/agents. + Control expenses to meet budget guidelines. + Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding market trends and performance. + Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes. + Write and implement new procedures. + Responsibility for team of Sales Representatives. + Monitor all projects in the pre-order phase. + Train new employees. + Travel North America to promote and train distributors, end users, and OEM's. + Develop sales practices for the North American sanitary market. + Attend networking events. Skills and Experience Education: A 4 year degree in engineering and/or business administration with an emphasis in marketing. Experience: 10+ years of experience in technical sales focusing on high end positive displacement pumps for food and pharmaceutical applications, developing a comprehensive staff, developing new markets, working with direct end users, OEM's, and a distribution/agent network. Skills/Knowledge: + Willingness to travel and work in a global network of professionals. + A proven ability to sell and educate on the technical merits of equipment and not on price. + Proven leadership skills and experience in development of distribution. + Extensive experience in all aspects of supplier relationship with a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements. + A self-starter. + Sound knowledge of the sanitary/hygienic manufacturing industries. + Problem solver who requires little guidance or past precedence to solve issues. + Well organized.
