Job Summary

The Sales Manager provides leadership to a team to manage the customer value stream from prospecting to close of business through excellent customer service while meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

The Sales Manager manages two functional areas; 1) Outside Sales team responsible for prospecting to closing business and 2.) a best-in-class Estimating department to meticulously complete take-offs, pricing and quotes through partnering with other key OI functional areas such as production, engineering and transportation in a timely manner.

The Sales Manager is charged with assembling and leading a team to identify and capitalize on opportunities while providing an excellent customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages and mentor a team of O.S.R's that will spend 95% of their time on the road in-front of contractors, developing relationships, maintaining specifications and closing businesses while also driving OI interests (standards vs. specials) in the marketplace.

  • Manage and mentor a team of Estimators towards completing take-offs and quotes while also maintaining response time that aligns with the customer expectations.

  • Implements and manages a system that generates leads through professional sales tactics and networking within the engineering and contractor community.

  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate sales goals.

  • Reviews market analytics to determine customer needs, market-based pricing, and discounts.

  • Responds to customer's needs in a focused and service-oriented manner, quickly addressing issues to provide positive results, demonstrating knowledge of our customer's business needs and expectations, effectively applying knowledge and skills to problem-solve individual circumstances.

  • Implements and manages systems that provide complete and accurate quotes that are consistently formatted and provided within a timely manner, tailored to the customer's project needs.

  • Provides market-based pricing based upon O.S.R. and Est. feedback, meticulously tracking won/lost jobs and having a general pulse on the marketplace. Maintain and update in real time, market-based price list for O.S.R.'s and Estimators to work from. Ensures each team manages their time appropriately.

  • Reviews sales team quotes in excess determined amounts with A.C.D to ensure pricing consistency.

  • Provides professional and timely communication with internal departments to ensure seam-less customer service support (engineering, purchasing, production, delivery, accounting).

  • Routinely completes ride along with O.S.R.'s for customer and jobsites visits to strengthen relationships, gather market information, learn of new opportunities, and show Oldcastle's value as a business partner.

  • Develop and maintain a strong base of product knowledge and explores potential new product opportunities.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Industry experience preferred

  • 5+ years sale management experience in industrial or construction environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous commercial/residential drainage & sanitary sales experience

Job Summary Oldcastle Infrastructure is looking for a Sales Representative to join our team in Littleton, CO. The Sales Representative reports to the Sales Manager and is responsible for developing and maintaining favorable relationships with current and potential customers, achieving sales goals of our precast concrete products business, developing short and long term sales strategies and sales plans to increase the region's sales volume and profit margins. Key Responsibilities * Assist the Area Sales Manager in developing strategy and tactics that ensure the attainment of company sales goals and profitability in key markets through assigned geography. * Conduct in-depth analysis to include on demand forecasting, competitor capabilities, customer profiles and the next best alternatives. * Identify and bid all appropriate projects within assigned marketing area. Participate in the development of bid strategy for each job. * Develop and maintain relationships within the engineering community. Leverage these relationships to get Oldcastle products specified on future projects * Establish short and long term goals and strategies in regards to key clients and prospects. Develop specific action plans to achieve goals. * Will be responsible for meeting specific sales volumes and profit margin goals. * Partner with other departments (Quality Control, Production, Operations, Transportation, and Accounting) to ensure every account receives the highest level of customer service. * Communicate with the sales team to manage and coordinate sales to customers who overlap geographic boundaries and markets, as well as to leverage the OPI portfolio across company boundaries. * Actively participate in industry-related associations as required in order to develop and maintain key networking and business relationships. * Manage OPI relationship with key accounts throughout region. * Conduct negotiations with suppliers and vendors as needed. * Prospect opportunities and companies and market products within core markets * Create and maintain Strategic Opportunity and Account plans for strategic opportunities or accounts. Qualifications / Required Skills * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. * 2+ years in civil infrastructure construction, precast concrete manufacturing sales, or similar product sales. * Demonstrate strong business acumen in regards to sales and marketing and/or the civil infrastructure construction market; be knowledgeable in regards to current and possible future industry trends. * Ability to read and interpret civil design drawings, and engineering production drawings. * Must have ability to travel (Approx. 50% +) throughout the sales region. * Must have the drive and self-discipline to work independently within territory to accomplish goals. * Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers – both internal and external. * Be a pro-active, self-motivated, self-starter who is action oriented and drives for results. * Foster a collaborative, team-based approach. * Be experienced with technical sales to engineers and specifying agencies (Not necessity but a plus). * Be proficient in basic Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.) * Have a Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record; monthly auto reimbursement for mileage is provided. * Have strong interpersonal and organizational skills. * Have ability to work with a diverse group of people both within the Company and in a sales capacity.
