What You Will Do
Lead business growth in the defense market segment with new and existing customers. Responsible for defense sales pursuits of highly engineered components and sub-systems from our three business units, Components; Utility Control Systems; and Displays & DCU. Partner with business unit leadership and product line teams, providing strategic and tactical direction to the cross functional proposal and pursuit teams and developing offerings to our customers, from the initial lead all the way to contract closure.
Primary Responsibilities:
Establish and implement the sales action plan required to meet and exceed bookings goals.
Work with cross functional teams (business unit leader, contracts and finance) to ensure the right pricing and business conditions are in place before placing bids and accepting awards.
Upon notice of award, evaluate contract terms and conditions prior to acceptance.
Coordinate communication and audits with local DCMA as needed.
Collaborate with the business unit teams for the elaboration of business cases and to make sure that sales plans are integrated into the bid response strategy.
Forecast and track the evolution of your book of business.
Provide accurate forecasting for short- and long-term bookings and maintain a sales funnel.
Communicate and present critical data, report summaries, market analysis and strategic recommendations to all levels of management.
Generate managerial deliveries in accordance with our forecasting and reporting requirements.
Manage internal awareness of contractual milestones and conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
Review, contractual requirements and ensure internal flow down of requirements.
Troubleshoots, analyzes, and remedies customer problems within established guidelines.
Responsible for accurate written agreements between Korry and the customer.
Identify departmental issues and opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Make sure we are compliant to Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Department of State International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering or Business. MBA is a plus!
3+ years leading complex defense sales with prime contractors and government agencies.
Prior key account management experience is desired.
Solid understanding of US government and contractor procurement processes.
Demonstrated success closing large sales on major programs and a track record of sales accomplishments, preferably in electro-mechanical components and systems for aerospace and defense.
Strong coaching skills to lead your sales teams.
Excellent networking skills and the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to travel as required, up to 30% of the time.
Salary Range
Please note the typical hiring range is $100,000 - $150,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
