Your Contribution

Achieves planned KPIs (sales growth, number of new opportunities) for products sold to the customers/markets assigned by ensuring sufficient order income; elaborates monthly/quarterly rolling forecast and performance report including deviation analysis and action plan for the customers assigned; establishes pricing policies for each of the associated products and leads the development of the necessary price calculation schemes; plans, directs, and coordinates customer strategy and activities including milestone plan; sets up customer visitation schedules, executing visits/interactions especially with key decision makers and captures results of visits in CRM; generates inquiries from customers and related quotations with support of Customer Service, Inside Sales and other internal entities, authorizes quotations and pricing; performs quotation reviews, negotiations, and contracting with customers; handles customer complaints with support of Inside Sales and quality department.

Elaborates new opportunities (sales potentials with related products) considering the highest possible value creation; searches for new potential products and projects, initiates R&D cooperation with customers, and involves internal organization (e.g. application engineering, Product Managers, R&D, operations), promotes AO products, new developments, performance, and competences in order to generate new, respectively extended business opportunities; monitors competitors' activities, reports to Market Intelligence team and creates counter plans for the assigned customers/market segment

Carries out regular account planning (rolling up action plan with major milestones) and action plan and plans annually the sales for the assigned accounts by site and article group, reviews customer segmentation. Central point of contact as the local "market expert" within our Regional Sales Team for Industrial Equipment; coordinates and oversees strategic opportunities and customer development, as well as, the collection of relevant Market Intelligence for the designated market.

Ensures high level of morale and clear direction to other departments and colleagues; strong teaming skills; acts locally and thinks globally in all decisions; carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's mission, vision, policies, and applicable laws. Central point of contact as the local "market expert" within our Regional Sales Team for Industrial Equipment; coordinates and oversees strategic opportunities and customer development.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor/Masters of Science in Optics, Electronics, or related Engineering field, additional qualification in economics or equivalent practical experience

  • 5-10 Years in Technical Sales and/or Management, Product Management or Business Development, minimum 3 years in selling/engineering of technical products.

  • Knowledge of Optical materials and components, their properties, and performance are a strong plus; ability to communicate in English; ability to work in an intercultural environment and effectively build up cross national and functional teams; Customer Relationship Management; deal maker personality
