Sales Manager 2 Integrated Mobility (FirstNet)

Manages, directs and supervises assigned outside FirstNet direct sales representatives who focus primarily on FirstNet Mobility products into an assigned territory.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Directs and supervises assigned sales executives (FirstNet) who primarily sell on customers premises generate existing and/or new sales for delivery of solutions that meet a wide variety of customer needs for AT&T FirstNet products/ services /systems/solutions to ensure achievement of both unit and revenue objectives for customers.

  • Coach a team of Sales Executive and Marketing Professionals to cultivate and grow the sales opportunities for the first responder solutions suite against a sales target

  • Apply the first responder sales framework within the context of the module

  • Work with the team to design first responder solutions through consultative methods, leveraging the base of value proposition, case studies, work flow analysis, ROI, and Pilot Framework tools.

  • Drive your sales team to cultivate the sales engagement from a discovery stage to a clearly identified business value through deploying and implementation of the technical solution.

  • Manage your sales team to serve as the first responder lead on responses to RFP/RFQ/RFB/RFI requests and unsolicited proposals.

  • Stay current and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of complex first responder products, solutions and competitive intelligence around pricing and market trends, etc.

  • Collaborate with Account Team Managers / territory leadership to develop strategic territory module plans, optimizing subscriber growth through successful penetration of target accounts.

  • Formulates sales plan for teams assigned accounts and provides tactical input to leadership.

  • Provides input for FirstNet sales strategies for region.

  • Participates in the assignment of territories and FirstNet accounts to Sales Representatives.

  • Collaborates in FirstNet planning sales strategy and training sales team in implementing plans.

  • Provides expertise and consultation to assist with difficult customer problems and participates in important negotiations with key customers and supports large account sales.

  • Spends a majority of the time in the field.

  • Requires organizational and technical knowledge sufficient to resolve complex customer problems.

  • Territory may be defined by geography, product, channel or specific accounts. Requires extensive knowledge of engineering and complex aspects of Company products and service.

  • Manages the work efforts of individual contributor direct reports and influences the hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.

  • Responsible for coaching and developing direct report subordinates.

Education: Typically requires a Bachelor degree.

Experience: Typically requires 8 to 10 years direct work experience and one year leadership

Position Summary: Primary responsibilities for the SLED (State Local Government and Education) Territory Manager in the Southern US region to include planning and managing territory resources, leveraging channel partners and exceeding revenue goals. Because Ivanti is channel driven, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with value added resellers (VARs) and a proven understanding of their business model, especially as it relates to complex software sales and services. The candidate will also have an excellent understanding of channel partner dynamics . The individual should be able to demonstrate experience in running complex, solution based, sales campaigns with small to mid-sized corporations, ideally in relation to systems, service or security management software. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: * Territory and account planning * Building and maintaining strong business relationships with senior level executives and with Ivanti channel partners * Achieve and exceed revenue targets by acquiring new customers and up selling or cross selling to install base customers * Work closely with field marketing and channel to build pipeline and build own pipeline * Close deals directly and with partners * Responsible for accurately updating CRM tool * Collaborate closely with other Ivanti team members to ensure alignment and integration of sales and channel strategies, projects and programs for successful implementation and execution * May perform other job duties as directed by supervisor QUALIFICATIONS: Required: * Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify and close 6 figure sales opportunities * Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed bookings and revenue targets consistently: quarter to quarter and year to year * Experience partnering with Value Added Resellers, National Value Added Distributors, Strategic Global Systems Integrators and Hardware Manufacturers * Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills * Good reputation in the region * Ability to identify key decision makers and work at the "C" level * Experience working with various channel partner types * Ability to work as part of a virtual team with Pre-sales, Implementation Consultants, Channel Managers, Technical Support Engineers, Technical Account Managers, Renewal Sales and Sales Support/Operations * Ability to follow through and meet deadlines * Experience working in a global, multilingual organization * Must be able to work well with others as part of a team Preferred: * 6+ years work experience in the high technology industry * Experience with public sector sales * Experience using Salesforce.com to manage the sales cycle and forecast * Training in a major sales methodology such as Target Account Selling Education/Certification/Licensing: * 4 year degree or equivalent experience Travel: * Up to 75% of the time External Recruiting Agencies/Vendors: Ivanti does not currently engage with external recruiting agencies and will not accept unsolicited resumes from any external agency.
