External Description:

The Sales Incentive Design Analyst is a critical role on the Sales Incentive Design team with key responsibilities for designing, implementing, monitoring and analyzing sales incentive programs and policies to best achieve the organization's strategic and operational objectives, while reinforcing pay for performance under a consistent framework.

The Sales Incentive Design Analyst collaborates with line management, HR Business Partners, the Total Rewards Center of Excellence, HR Operations and other functional Centers of Excellence to address rewards program needs and deliver integrated reward solutions for the Workforce Solutions Business Unit.


  • Compensation Program Development

  • Maintains and applies best-practice understanding of total compensation and more specifically Incentive Plan principles and frameworks

  • Designs, implements, monitors and analyzes SPIF and other incentives

  • Supports annual sales incentive planning review and design

  • Consults with Leadership Team to maintain alignment between strategic and operational objectives and incentive practices

  • Leads reporting and analytics for business unit

  • Produces analytics to drive clarity of designs and demonstrate sales plan performance

  • Responsible for quarterly and ad-hoc reporting

  • Leads change management efforts to include education, communication and documentation for leadership teams, plan participants and HR team

  • Makes recommendations for process and incentive plan effectiveness improvements, leveraging marketplace best practices

  • Supports programs to ensure effective plan governance (including design process, plan documentation, policy review and exception approval processes)

  • Collaborates with sales leadership, sales operations, finance, and HR to design, implement and analyze incentive compensation plans and programs, incorporating Enterprise philosophy, and demonstrating sound understanding of business and desired behaviors


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline

  • Certified Sales Compensation Professional (CSCP) or CCP strongly preferred

  • Approximately 7 years of compensation experience to include significant knowledge and experience with sales incentive design and administration best practices

  • Broad-based compensation knowledge and experience desired

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including consultative problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, work well in a demanding dynamic environment to prioritize activities and meet overall objectives

  • Executional excellence - strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Customer-centric

  • Matrix management, cross-functional collaboration and ability to influence without authority

  • Microsoft office proficiency and expert analytical skills to include knowledge of spreadsheet applications utilizing complex formulas

  • High level of financial acumen, to include forecasting and financial modeling
