Position Purpose:

The Sales Executive, a member of Shred-its sales team, is responsible for the direct sales of Shred-it's services to potential and existing customers within an assigned territory. The Sales Executive is responsible for all aspects of sales, pipeline building, qualifying target opportunities, managing the sales cycle, closing orders and following through to revenue. The Sales Executive maintains Shred-its policies, standards, and practices both within and outside their assigned territory and ensures adherence to Shred-it's Vision, Mission and Values.

The territory will cover West Virginia and the area south of Pittsburg,PA.

Key Job Activities:

  • Aggressively sell document destruction services to prospective customers in a specific territory.

  • In conjunction with the District Sales Manager, develop and set specific and measurable sales targets on a monthly and annual basis

  • Develops and maintains a pipeline of opportunities for the assigned territory.

  • Develops and maintains a sales strategy for the assigned territory.

  • Maintains a personal level of expertise of Shred-it services and competitive solutions.

  • Develops customer lead activity through telephone and door-to-door cold-calling, appointment setting and direct mail campaign .

  • Participates in all sales and other training provided by Shred-it.

  • Implements and demonstrates best practices to sell Shred-it solutions to prospective and existing customers.

  • Participates in special projects and promotional campaigns under the direction of the District Sales Manager.

  • Reports daily activities and sales results to the District Sales Manager.

  • Maintains a responsible approach to all security and safety matters related to Shred-it operations, following the company's policies and procedures at all times and bringing the manager's attention to any area of concern.

  • Liaises with customers to understand their requirements with respect to products and services that the business currently offers or is planning to offer.

  • Establishes personal relationships with current and potential customers in the assigned territory.

  • Serves as a Helpful Expert in exceeding customer expectations on a regular basis.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Experience (North America & LATAM):

  • Post-secondary education, is preferred but not required.

  • 1-2 years previous sales experience / prospecting in business-to-business services involving varying sales cycles and multiple levels of decision makers is preferred but not required.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and strong internet skills.

  • Knowledge of sales theory and sales cycle.

  • Ability to travel within given sales territory.

  • Valid driver's license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines.

This position provides organizational leadership for collaborative activities involving the Health Sciences Center, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (WVDHHR) and other partners. These include, among others, providing data analytic support, program evaluation expertise, technical assistance and project management support for the WVDHHR and other partners With office locations in both Morgantown and Charleston, the Office of Health Affairs (OHA) employs over 50 full-time staff and engages numerous faculty and staff from other units of the University to fulfill its service mission to the state of West Virginia. The Executive Project Manager is responsible for providing operational project management support and administrative support for the Assistant Vice President for the Office of Health Affairs. In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will: * Work closely with OHA leadership to proactively identify and track risks and issue that may adversely impact office operations, assign corrective action and monitor through resolution. * Present analysis and recommendation on office operations to decision makers in an organized manner, including identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to evaluate operational effectiveness. * Comprehend internal and external drivers that influence effective operation, management, and execution of OHA resourcing, planning, programming, and budget execution processes. * Utilize a network of relationships to collect and disseminate information, build support, and secure buy-in for desired outcomes. * Use critical thinking skills to anticipate and mitigate roadblocks to delivery of operational project deliverables. * Manage vendor relationships including management of the Request for Proposal Process, procurement of vendor scopes of work, reviewing proposals, and monitoring vendor activities to ensure vendor contract obligations are met following the processes and procedures of the PDMO. * Track and report project milestones and provide status reports in the selected format at the assigned interval. * Drive strategic initiatives and manage internal and external relationships to ensure commitments are met, deadlines are realized, and expectations are managed appropriately. May be expected to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. * Organize recurring and ad hoc meetings, prepare agendas, take detailed notes including key decisions and action items, manage action items. * Utilize OHA operating systems and collaboration tools to effectively manage and facilitate OHA leadership and operational project teamwork. * Bring expertise in copywriting to draft documents, presentations and emails for Executives. * Correspond with clients, vendors and staff at the direction of OHA Leadership. * Captures, organizes and disseminates important organizational announcements and communications in a timely manner and in a professional manner. * Conduct or direct special projects as assigned. Acts in other matters and capacities as delegated by the Assistant Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. * Monitor compliance and ensure adherence to all federal, state, WVU and PDMO policies and procedures. * Proactively manage executive calendars and coordinate internal and external meetings, with the ability to prioritize, resolve schedule conflicts, honor calendar blocks and collaborate with other team members. * Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Computer Science, or a relevant field; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
