Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $58,500-$95,000k annually, plus bonus opportunities. The specific salary/payrate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.

Hours/Days

8:00am

  • 5:00pm / Monday

  • Friday. With some flex time and weekends as needed.

Essential functions

As Hill and Markes' Sales executive you will be responsible for driving new business while maintaining long term customers. The ideal candidate will not only have strong interpersonal and sales skills but also be engaged in our company culture and industry.   • Travel within designated territory to service current customers

  • Build and maintain relationships with current customers

  • Educate customers on our wide range of products/services available to them

  • Conduct regular business reviews which could result in recommending changes in products and service

  • Continuously seek out new business opportunities via cold calls, networking & referrals

  • Organize and perform sales presentations as needed

  • Update customer and prospective information in the company database

  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management

  • Keeps management informed of activities by submitting weekly call reports and work plans, as well as quarterly and annual territory analyses

  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

  • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners

  • Additional duties as assigned by Sales Management

Requirements

  • Proficient in utilizing a CRM platform

  • Comfortable managing customers through an eCommerce platform

  • Efficient at presenting alternative solutions and collaborating with internal resources

  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills

Supervisory responsibilities

  • None

Work environment

  • Traveling to and from customers

  • Work from home when not with customers

  • Will need to report in office on a quarterly basis for sales meetings and trainings

Physical demands

  • Long periods of sitting

  • May require long periods of standing and/or walking when visiting customers.\

Travel required

90% Local travel

Required education and experience

  • Proven experience of meeting sales goals

  • Experience with territory management and customer presentations

  • Clean NYS Driver License and a personal vehicle is required (vehicle allowance is paid monthly)

Preferred education and experience

  • Five (5) years of sales experience preferred

Work authorization/security clearance requirements

Must be authorized to work in the United States of America
