The successful Transaction and Verification Services Sales Engineer will partner with the sales and product teams in identifying, engineering and proposing transaction services solutions to prospects and existing clients. The successful candidate will be able to apply industry and technical expertise, identify the transaction and verification services that will solve the client's business needs, clearly explain to various audiences how technologies work and the capabilities they deliver, and propose overall solutions. We seek a candidate eager to join a start-up atmosphere supporting solutions at the tipping point of market adoption (implementation backlog of early adopters). Limited travel is required.

A successful candidate is:

  • Market Facing externally focused with demonstrated client/partner engagement, strong client facing communications and presentation skillset

  • Collaborative strong partnering skills with others including fellow team members, peers, key stake holders; able to build relationships & connects ideas across opportunities and with Finicity

  • Able to demonstrate high technical aptitude - understand and engineer complex technology and data solutions, operational and/or strategic expertise in transactional services preferred

  • Self-motivated - relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Able to provide timely and accurate insights on opportunities, current client revenue and other important issues

Responsibilities include:

  • Gather information on client business objectives, operating needs, business processes and economic drivers

  • Perform business process and operational review and develop specific recommendations for client business improvement

  • Coordinate with the sales team to drive further penetration of Experian transaction services solutions

  • Provide industry expertise in the development of Experian products and services as well as the presentation of such offerings to clients

  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve existing Experian offerings to clients

  • Provide technical and business consulting expertise on complex Experian projects

  • Conduct periodic strategy reviews of client performance results and provide advice and recommendations concerning these results

  • Support technical aspects of proposal team activities in development of custom proposals and responses to Request for Proposals

  • Facilitate presentation and demo of solutions to clients

  • Able to present at internal and external meetings/conferences as a verifications and transaction services expert

  • Interact heavily with Product Owner (to provide market/client insight and identify product development opportunities), Technical Product Owner (to represent client/market needs in development processes) and sales/sales support teams (to provide technical expertise and consultation)

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of recent sales engineering experience, verification and transactional services experience a plus

  • Previous client-facing experience specific to technical solutions that impact client workflow

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills

  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills

  • Advanced project management and organizational skills

  • Ability to develop presentations and other client facing materials

  • Ability to understand, present and create analytic reports

  • Ability to work as part of an integrated sales team

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Digital Power Digital Services Engineers at Schneider Electric employ a combination of electrical, systems, network communications and application-specific software skills to: * Help customers maintain the reliability and performance of their systems, and address any potential technical problem. * Assist Application Engineers with site-specific difficulties during new site commissioning as well as system upgrades and expansions. * Work closely with our direct and indirect North America sales force to manage customer relationship and satisfaction. * Assist sales personnel in the pursuit of new business by providing pre-sales technical support and assisting with customer evaluations and system selection. Occasionally preparing and presenting customer product demos. * Research, identify, develop and recommend corrective measures to address technical issues identified in the field or in-house. * Participate in power monitoring system development projects by contributing knowledge of customer applications, providing user information requirements, providing test scenarios and typical use-cases, and occasionally participating in product development and testing. * Resolve technical problems from end customers, application engineers, sales and engineering teams. * Identify and qualify product failures and assist product engineering in understanding and resolving them. * Case tracking by entering cases in our Customer Relationship Management tool. * Research and documentation of technical problems and solutions using our Knowledge Base. * Design, plan, research, evaluate and test complex systems used to monitor and/or control electrical equipment and systems This job might be for you if: * Engineering degree in Electrical, Power Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent * Experience in software, hardware, networking, database and/or system troubleshooting, diagnosis and problem solving * Power and/or electrical systems knowledge * Computer knowledge, particularly relating to server, network and operating system installation and configuration * Experience with Windows Operating Systems and networking * Positive attitude, enthusiastic, self-motivated and customer-focused * People-person and team player, enjoying the cross-functional interaction required for this position * Quick learner with an inquiring mind * Strong written and oral communications skills * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Ability to work with people with a wide range of technical backgrounds, including consultants, senior professional engineers, energy managers, electricians, IT engineers and personnel, account managers, sales personnel * Ability to occasionally travel to various customer sites in North America and worldwide Desirable * SQL Database querying and programming experience * VBA, C , or Java coding experience * On-site power system experience * Understanding of Power Quality standard * On-site or remote advanced technical support experience * Knowledge of Schneider Electric Power Monitoring and Control products * Knowledge of electrical power industry * Understanding of digital metering systems, PowerLogic preferred * Understanding of lighting control systems, PowerLink preferred * Controls or transformer protection experience * Experience with CRM systems, Salesforce preferred * Bilingual: Spanish or French an asset We seek out and reward people for being straightforward, open, passionate, effective and challenging the status quo.
