Position Summary:

Ivanti is growing and needs a System Sales Engineer in the Phoenix, AZ area, to act as a technical specialist within a dynamic sales environment, supporting and driving high tech, high demand and high quality market leading solution demonstrations. They will work to support sales to aggressively pursue new customer acquisitions. They will use technical skills and knowledge to position the Ivanti Solutions to Enterprise accounts, by identifying their needs, presenting and demonstrating the solutions, working with professional services to design implementation and supporting the enterprise account manager.

RESPONSIBILITES/DUTIES:

Manage all technical aspects of the sales cycle

  • Identify customer pain points and effectively demonstrate the Ivanti product suite to potential customers

  • Articulate the company message and key areas of business value

  • Solutions Specialists will be responsible for installing the Ivanti suite in customer environments through the Proof of Concept process.

  • Overcome any technical objections, architecting Ivanti solutions.

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships.

  • Assist as needed with any customer concerns or escalations.

  • Build and maintain relationships with customer's technical teams

  • Understand and engage in any partner led opportunities

  • Engage in partner meetings or partner events within your territory

  • Deliver corporate and technical presentations of Ivanti product suites to prospects

  • Work closely with Professional Services in project scoping and customer communications

Technical knowledge

  • Thorough understanding of Windows Server and Client Operating Systems

  • Clear understanding of VDI and terminal server computing, to include partner technologies from Citrix, Microsoft and VMware.

  • Understand competitive landscape and assist customers in understanding the benefits of AppSense

  • Consistently utilize and contribute information to the US and global organizations.

Sales process

  • Collaboration with the greater sales team. Assist in pipeline establishment and growth.

  • Participation in business reviews or team meetings as required.

  • Work with account manager to understand forecasted opportunities quarter over quarter

  • Updating of activities within Sales Force.

  • Escalate potential barriers to sales and leadership team.

  • Provide timely product feedback to the greater pre-sales community and product development teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Self-motivated, highly organized individual with the ability to adapt quickly and prioritize an ever changing list of tasks.

  • A practical understanding of VDI and Server Based Computing

  • Solid experience with Windows Server and Client Operating systems.

  • Strong in infrastructure architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments, including fail-over techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning.

  • 7+ years of experience

  • Current MCSE or a minimum of 7 years experience in a large environment (500-1000 nodes or greater)

  • SQL 2008 knowledge and use

  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent experience

  • Current ITIL Foundation certification or practical experience implementing processes

  • VB, PowerShell, or basic scripting skills

  • Solid understanding and experience with Windows networking concepts (DHCP, DNS, NetBIOS, TCP/IP, replication, etc)

  • Experience providing technical support and troubleshooting technical issues

  • Experience providing technical demonstrations, pilots and proof-of-concepts to a varied audience

  • Understanding of project management methodologies and general networking best practices

  • Experience with software-based solution deployments, configuration, and integration

  • Excellent presentation skills in person and using virtual demonstration products such as WEBex or Go to Meeting

  • Ability to relate to a wide range of technical staff, managers and executives in customer environments

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to handle various tasks; attention to detail

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to work well with others as part of a team

Preferred:

  • Experience using Salesforce.com to track prospect and customer activities

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • BA or BS in Technical Sales, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science
  • SQL 2008 certification
  • ITIL Foundation certification

Travel:

  • Up to 50% travel required
