How you'll make a difference:
Sales Engineer- (Internal, Data Analytics Experience) will serve as a product evangelist and adoption specialist for the Newton platform. Newton is McKesson Technology's cloud-based Data & Analytics platform. Newton has several core principles: "cloud first", "automation required", "bring the code to the data" and "fast. period". This role serves as a relationship manager with various data analytics "insight delivery teams" and other business partners within McKesson and will support the enablement and adoption of Newton's technology assets throughout the enterprise.
Prepares and delivers technical presentations explaining Newton's products, features and capabilities to internal business partners and stakeholders
Coordinates and performs Newton product demonstrations to current and prospective business partners with support from preferred suppliers & partners, Platform Engineer and Platform Architecture
Supports, coordinates and executes hands-on training opportunities with business partners around solutions which are available within the Newton portfolio
Works with the Capability Leader, Solution Leaders and Platform Product Owner to capture and record business needs and gaps in current Newton offerings, helps translate into Newton roadmap, upcoming features, etc.
Models financial business case for business partners around adoption of Newton components and features to help drive adoption
Coordinates and conducts regular reviews with business partners to measure platform experience, value delivery and effectiveness
Proactively monitors "total cost to serve" metrics charged to business partners for Newton solutions, advocates for business partners with financial benefit to them in mind
Provides insights to solution leader representing user feedback
Collaborates with Platform Engineering and Platform Operations teams in delivery planning
Collects and documents preferred supplier/partner roadmap information for incorporation into Newton roadmap and overall lifecycle management
Performs competitive intelligence gathering of solution provider capabilities within data analytics space for consideration into the rationalized Newton technology portfolio
What you will bring to the table:
Typically requires 3+ years of relevant experience
High energy and enthusiasm
Excellent presentation and public speaking abilities are a must
"Customer first" mindset is a must
Technical writing skills, specifically around creation of technical presentations is preferred
Working knowledge of data analytics and machine learning is preferred
Working knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence is preferred
Working knowledge of relational databases, data warehouses and SQL skills is desirable
Previous experience in sales or sales engineering is preferred
Proficient with Atlassian Suite (JIRA and Confluence)
Proficient with Excel spreadsheets, modeling, and reporting.
Prior experience using enterprise systems is a plus.
