Job Title: Sales Engineer - Industrial Heat Exchangers
Location: Sinking Spring, PA (Onsite)
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Working Hours: 7:00 am-4:00 pm
Overview:
A global leading company specializing in high-performance heat exchanger equipment for industrial applications is looking for a driven and technically proficient Sales Engineer to join their growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales of the industrial heat exchanger solutions that enhance customers' indoor environments and promote energy efficiency. You will leverage your engineering knowledge and strong communication skills to build relationships with clients, identify needs, and propose the most effective heat exchanger solutions to meet the specific needs of various industries for applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not are limited to:
Perform the sales activities of heat exchanger equipment for commercial and industrial applications
Develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth
Conduct in-depth technical analysis, including calculations, chemical formula review, and flow chart analysis to understand customer's specific needs and challenges
Collaborate with customers to analyze data and recommend optimal solutions
Create and present technical and compelling proposals and estimates for potential customers, including HVAC manufacturers' representatives, contractors, and end users (production and facility managers)
Develop and maintain strong relationships and provide comprehensive after-sales support to a diverse customer base
Conduct thorough market research and analysis including ROI comparisons of initial investment and returns
Analyze competitor offerings and leverage electricity consumption simulation tools to propose personalized energy-saving solutions and highlight strategic advantages of the company products over competitors
Provide sales presentations with data-driven insights including analysis and visuals of electricity consumption simulation and energy-saving visualization.
Qualify leads generated through marketing efforts (online, exhibitions, seminars)
Provide expert guidance on product installation and troubleshoot any technical issues
Negotiate and close contracts
Oversee production unit specifications and ensure adherence to delivery schedules
Travel as required for sales presentations, customer meetings, and project start-up/commissioning
Collaborate with the global R&D and sales teams as needed
Other duties and special projects as requested by Management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Business Development) or a minimum of 5 years of demonstrably relevant experience in lieu of a degree
2+ years of proven experience as a Sales Engineer, or a related technical sales role, selling complex technical products or solutions such as environmental equipment, plant equipment or industry machinery to enterprise clients. Previous experience in the HVAC systems and industrial/ commercial applications is highly preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform calculations and comparison analysis
Proficiency in data analysis to generate data-driven proposals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Japanese bilingual skills is a plus
Excellent communication skills to build rapport and establish trust with customers
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
Tenacity and perseverance to achieve ambitious sales targets
