Description

Evident is looking for a Sales Engineer to drive business development and sales growth by providing technical expertise, competitive positioning, and product evaluation support to prospective customers.

This position will be based at Evidents Atlanta headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a product expert and technical lead to the Field Teams (Sales, Business Development, and Customer Success) and prospective customers/partners on major revenue opportunities
  • Instrumental in full sales cycle including discovery, opportunity evaluation, proof of concept support, and opportunity closure
  • Support Field Teams with client meetings and presentations
  • Work with prospects to devise solutions to complex customer requirements
  • Coordinates solutions design with Field Teams and Product team to ensure accuracy and feasibility
  • Conduct custom Proof of Concept evaluations to implement software to demonstrate the ability to meet client objectives
  • Support Field Teams and Marketing in production of high quality proposals and supporting assets

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • 3+ years of sales engineering experience ideally in the identity, privacy, data security, and/or fraud software space
  • Experience selling, configuring and delivering software demonstrations
  • Experience with implementing software products or solutions to enterprise companies
  • Working knowledge of API platforms, web applications and their architecture and design
  • Experience working with JavaScript, HTML, CSS and API integrations
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking, problem solving, and decision making capabilities
  • Ability to build relationships across stakeholders in Field Teams, Marketing, Product, and Engineering
  • Willingness to travel 30-60%

In this position, the successful candidate will meet with prospective and existing customers to understand their current technical environment and key business drivers. Qualifications Required Skills and Education/ Working Knowledge of: * Voice/Unified Communications/contact center/VoIP solutions * Strong Data Center, Cloud, Hosted, Virtual technologies backgound * Familiarity with Mobility applications, Conferencing and Video * Strong knowledge of VoIP standards, protocols and solution design * Networking skills including protocol and compliance knowledge a plus (CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, CCIE) * Network Security knowledge a plus (CCSP, CISSP) * Excellent presentation and consultative skills required. * Degree or Diploma in Engineering / Computer Science, Engineering Technology (or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education) The right candidate will be a self starter and recognized expert in the supported field. As such, the position will require the candidate to: * Deliver presentations, demos, evaluations and pilots for customers and partners. * Work with sales personnel to help create and implement strategic account plans. * Build and maintain relationships with technical decision makers, influencers, and senior management. * Participate in cross function teams providing assistance in the preparation of responses to comprehensive RFP's and the delivery of complex technical and sales oriented presentations to business partners & customer's technical staffs and senior management. * Primary region will be Georgia/Mississippi/Alabama.
