POWER YOUR FUTURE WITH CE POWER in our Sales department as a Sales Engineer. This role is responsible for the business development of CE Power products and services in a defined territory and for specific accounts, as assigned. Our Sales Engineers are responsible for activities within defined sales plans in assigned territories. Our Sales Engineers are responsible, but not limited to the following:

  • Solicits sales of company products and services to Purchasing, Maintenance and Engineering Departments of customers in a defined territory. Performs territory and campaign management accordingly.

  • Spends a minimum of fifteen (15) hours per week in the presence of current and prospective clients.

  • Generates designated number of qualified quotes per week.

  • Establishes and achieves sales targets in terms of dollars sold and new customers.

  • Follows the best practices of the selling process and the CRM system.

  • Prepares and presents forecast potential monthly.

  • Uses and maintains the CRM data concerning leads, targets, accounts, contacts, and opportunities on all clients and prospective clients,

  • Ensures schedules and appointments are kept accurately in CRM properly reflecting time spent with customers and quote activities and uses task assignments in CRM to ensure proper follow up/follow through.

  • Ensures customer/project information is gathered for accurate timely quotes.

  • Assists inside personnel in the development of presentations and quotations.

  • Schedules and coordinates joint sales appointments with manufacturers.

  • Actively seeks out customer feedback and facilitates a better understanding of customer needs and communicates internally.

  • Develops key account contacts, researches customer needs and creates high value solutions in an effort to establish long term, ongoing relationships and referral streams for new business development opportunities and to ensure a high percentage of sales closures.

  • Create timely reports to include sales activity, quotation activity, trip reports, and expense reports.

  • Travels outside of the office at times requiring overnight stays of four to six nights per month.


  • A minimum of five (5) years of direct power engineering or electrical testing / construction services work experience. Extensive knowledge of the electrical and power industry is preferred.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Business Management degree is preferred.

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables.

  • Ability to read company manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English. Properly construct written proposals.

  • Experience with CRM (i.e. Sugar, Salesforce,etc.), SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

The Varonis Sales Engineer will be aligned with a local Sales Representative. The goal will be to deliver the technical value of the Varonis product to the end-user. As a team, the goal will be to build a strong business justification to the end-user, while ensuring that the given annual quota is met/exceeded. Responsibilities * Understand customer requirements and integrate Varonis solutions into the customers' environment. * Deliver sales presentations, present technical information about Varonis' products and services, and conduct product demonstrations. * Manage all phases of product evaluations including installations, presenting at seminars, responding to RFP's and RFI's and the technical development of Varonis Partners. * Ability to work independently and team collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to articulate the importance of Data Governance and evangelize Varonis as the leader in the Data Governance market to end-users of all levels. * Percent of travel varies by territory. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a four-year College or Technical School AND 3-5 years of experience in a customer facing role OR equivalent combination or education and experience. * Strong written, oral, and presentation skills. * Ability to discuss highly technical concepts to all audiences, ranging from non-technical to executive level technical decision makers. * Extensive knowledge of Active Directory and related Directory services. * Extensive knowledge of Windows and Unix File systems. * Exposure to security hardware and software. * Exposure to Microsoft Exchange preferably in a systems administration role. * MCSE, MCP Microsoft Certifications are preferred.
