About the opportunity
Calendly is looking for a Sales Engineer to join our fast growing team. This role will report to the VP of Sales and work alongside the sales team to help grow our business. Many amazing teams have experienced the value of Calendly firsthand, and have organically grown into large accounts. Now, we're seeking an ambitious Sales Engineer to serve as the technical resource for the sales team and help us with our growing volume of sales opportunities.
Our ideal candidate will have a thorough technical background and experience working with sales teams as a technical resource for all sales opportunities. This person will be responsible for expanding technical resources for sales enablement, offering troubleshooting to customers on trial subscriptions, configuring new accounts, responding to customer security questions and other technical projects for sales as necessary. As such, the ideal candidate will exemplify a thorough background in technical support and enablement as well as outstanding communication skills.
Some challenges you'll get to tackle
Partner with account executives as a technical resource during product demos, trials and entire sales cycle with a focus on enabling the sales team to win more deals
Understand our ideal buyers' needs and design and sell technical solutions using Calendly, our API, our native integrations and other software tools
Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
Act as the sales team's resource for all technical aspects of security and compliance initiatives
Act as the technical resource pre-sales support, including guidance and best practices for Calendly users interested in integrating with third-party tools like a CRM, marketing automation platform (using Calendly with landing pages, forms and emails), etc.
Create reusable content to be used during a sales cycle including white papers and webinars that present best practices for leveraging Calendly with different use cases featuring different third-party tools
Provide minimal configuration services for Calendly with an integrated CRM or marketing automation platform as well as Calendly configuration for large teams
Own and optimize our Salesforce instance to maximize the growth and success and all of our sales technology stack
You should apply if you have
6-8 years sales related experience (with a minimum of 2-3 years in a Sales Engineer role) ideally at a CRM or Marketing Automation company
Experience partnering with sales on demos as well as working with product teams
Certified Salesforce Admin
Strong time management skills and an ability to self-direct
Experience identifying buying trends and signals and using those to develop a repeatable process
Have exceptional communication skills
Thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment
Possess a self-starter mentality and want to make a direct, tangible impact on a rapidly growing product and company
Exhibit great organization skills and enjoy a high-volume transactional sales environment.
