We currently have an immediate need for a Sales Engineer

SUMMARY

The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and technical guidance to one or more Territory Manager(s) (TM) in their endeavor to sell company products, services and solutions to assigned accounts or within a given territory resulting in the achievement of a given quota. The Sales Engineer will be the key technical consultant assigned to understand the customers' business and to develop product and service solutions in partnership with the Territory Manager(s) and in line with their direction. The key responsibilities of this position are:

  • Partner with the TM to support their efforts to develop relationships with existing and potential customers.

  • Work directly with customers on occasion and per the account plan to address sales needs and issues.

  • Analyze existing and anticipated customer requirements and promote consideration of company products and services to fill such requirements.

  • Assist the TM in the preparation of sales and account plans.

  • Develop and deliver sales presentations that demonstrate breadth of knowledge of the company's products and services and be able to strategically leverage the company's value proposition.

  • Maintain technical proficiency, competitive knowledge and industry trends.

  • Provide design and pricing documents including transmission engineering path calculations, equipment pricing spreadsheets and high-level system descriptions.

  • Collaborate with the TM in setting the "win" strategy on all jobs.

  • Work closely with Product Line Management to be kept informed of new products and other information of interest to customers and to be able to bridge the transfer of information from customers so as to influence future development and direction.

  • Provide constructive and meaningful intelligence on the competition, customer requirements, market trends and product features to the appropriate organization.

  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts to management.

  • Manage priorities and tasks efficiently as well support internal teams in development of proposals and implementation of projects.

  • Utilize CRM tool to track opportunities and provide timely funnel reporting.

Job Requirements:
(Education

  • Yrs of Experience

  • Preferred Skills and Knowledge)

  • B.S. and 5+ years of experience in a customer facing role.

  • Previous Sales Support Engineering or similar experience preferred

  • Experience with microwave path design and methods.

  • Background in IP networks and how they integrate with microwave radios is preferred.

  • Working knowledge in routing, IP, MPLS, Ethernet, TDM, layer 2/3 technologies is a plus.

  • Team players with a positive, can-do attitude. Cross functional team work experience is a must.

  • Good sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task in an efficient manner

  • Must possess excellent communications and presentation skills.

Position - Inside Sales Systems Engineer Inside Sales Systems Engineers are a critical asset of the sales team in North America and have a primary responsibility to assist Inside Sales reps with the technical sales activities in new and existing opportunities. Inside Sales Systems Engineers deal with Juniper solutions, architectures, products and services. Working as one of our Inside Sales Systems Engineers, your technical experience will support the assigned sales objectives, and you will serve as a fundamental technical resource for our regional sales effort, being able to drive sales and promote the Juniper solutions to Customers and Business Partners. Duties and Responsibilities The candidate will mainly be working as Systems Engineer for the Inside Sales team based in Raleigh, NC. The role is office-based. The role requires the following activities: * Providing Technical Sales Support to the Inside Sales team: Account Managers and Sales Development Reps * Enable Channel partners providing Juniper technical training and updates. * Follow up on customer and partner questions * Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers * Preparing and executing remote Demo or Proof of Concept * Onboard new hires through technical training. * Providing Solutions design and architectures * Validating and creating Bill of Material using configuration tools and automated templates * Work on customer RFPs (Requests for Proposal) and create both high-level and occasionally more detailed designs for customers and partners. * Build a solid trust relationship with Customer and Business Partner Required Skills and Qualifications * Desired, bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering or Computer Science disciplines * Relevant industry certifications considered favorably * Familiar with modern network technology - either Ethernet switching, IP routing or Network security * OS virtualization technologies awareness and knowledge a plus * Experience with Linux, C/C++, Python or other programing language essential * Written and oral communication skills in English Personal Characteristics: * Is a self-motivated, self-starter with high levels of initiative * High energy level, dynamic personality, action oriented, wants to work in a dynamic and fast-pace customer-oriented environment * Willingness to be coached * Maintains open and honest communication and is well-organized and is strong in follow through * Results oriented/driven, capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Independent, yet a team player and is dedicated to meeting expectations and requirements of internal and external customers If you have relevant experience and: * Willingness to work in a fast paced, dynamic and stimulating environment * Willingness to work on multiple activities * Willingness to learn fast and progress you career * Excellent written and spoken English * Good speaking capability; speaks with confidence and credibility; communicates effectively * Team player; can work cross functionally and cross-cultures * we would like to learn more about you!
