We currently have an immediate need for a Sales Engineer


The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and technical guidance to one or more Territory Manager(s) (TM) in their endeavor to sell company products, services and solutions to assigned accounts or within a given territory resulting in the achievement of a given quota. The Sales Engineer will be the key technical consultant assigned to understand the customers' business and to develop product and service solutions in partnership with the Territory Manager(s) and in line with their direction. The key responsibilities of this position are:

  • Partner with the TM to support their efforts to develop relationships with existing and potential customers.

  • Work directly with customers on occasion and per the account plan to address sales needs and issues.

  • Analyze existing and anticipated customer requirements and promote consideration of company products and services to fill such requirements.

  • Assist the TM in the preparation of sales and account plans.

  • Develop and deliver sales presentations that demonstrate breadth of knowledge of the company's products and services and be able to strategically leverage the company's value proposition.

  • Maintain technical proficiency, competitive knowledge and industry trends.

  • Provide design and pricing documents including transmission engineering path calculations, equipment pricing spreadsheets and high-level system descriptions.

  • Collaborate with the TM in setting the "win" strategy on all jobs.

  • Work closely with Product Line Management to be kept informed of new products and other information of interest to customers and to be able to bridge the transfer of information from customers so as to influence future development and direction.

  • Provide constructive and meaningful intelligence on the competition, customer requirements, market trends and product features to the appropriate organization.

  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts to management.

  • Manage priorities and tasks efficiently as well support internal teams in development of proposals and implementation of projects.

  • Utilize CRM tool to track opportunities and provide timely funnel reporting.

Job Requirements:

  • Yrs of Experience

  • Preferred Skills and Knowledge)

  • B.S. and 5+ years of experience in a customer facing role.

  • Previous Sales Support Engineering or similar experience preferred

  • Experience with microwave path design and methods.

  • Background in IP networks and how they integrate with microwave radios is preferred.

  • Working knowledge in routing, IP, MPLS, Ethernet, TDM, layer 2/3 technologies is a plus.

  • Team players with a positive, can-do attitude. Cross functional team work experience is a must.

  • Good sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task in an efficient manner

  • Must possess excellent communications and presentation skills.

Job Description: The Sales Engineer uses skills as a technology professional with an understanding of industry practices, company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as a practical way. The Sales Engineer is aligned to supporting sales professionals on the Enterprise Sales Team, and is responsible for identifying and matching technology opportunities with the customer's business issues and objectives. In this role, you will provide technical support to sales reps and partners on customer deals across the sales cycle by leveraging strong technical knowledge of Citrix solutions. You will drive development of technical offerings to meet customer business needs under the guidance of product specialists and/or Enterprise Sales Account Managers. You will support enterprise, corporate, and midmarket accounts, working with Citrix resources and channel/Alliance partners to define offering and develop solutions, coordinated by Product Sales Specialists where present. Provide insight on technology trends, product developments, and technical capabilities, engaging with the customer to drive technical understanding of solution and value for business needs. Provide expertise in technical sales presentations to address issues/objections, conducting technical presentations and/or demonstrations. Enable partners' Sales Engineers to define offerings, develop solutions and communicate with customers in Growth and Emerging markets. Responsibilities * Uses professional concepts in providing primarily pre-sales technical support for the technical sales process of Citrix Solutions. * Leverages product understanding in their area of focus, to provide technical expertise to the closing sales team and customer through customer needs, overcoming objections, technical sales presentations, product demonstrations and product proof of concepts. * Participates in the consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation as it applies to the technical sales process. * Works on issues that impact design/selling success or address future concepts, products or technologies. * Creates formal networks with key decision makers and serves as external spokesperson for the organization. * Establishes relationships and engage with the technical personnel to identify opportunities and sell Citrix products and services. * Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations remotely or at customer locations/Citrix facilities on Citrix products value proposition. Requirements * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * 3-5 years' customer facing experience in combination with strong technical experience * Prior Sales Engineer experience preferred * Ability to travel locally within assigned territory as needed. In addition, travel to other locations including Corporate headquarters and Corporate meetings will be required.
