Job Description

As a Sales Engineer, you evangelize the new digital workforce, bringing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to leading Enterprises. You champion the innovative power of RPA to make organizations more productive and collaborative. With a passion for automation, you will show how our products simplify automation and integration of complex systems for customers worldwide. Sales Engineers work closely with our Partner and Enterprise Sales teams to bridge the gap between business value and technical capabilities and have the exciting privilege of being true RPA advocates.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct POCs for strategic clients.

  • Deliver services across the pre-sales cycle including delivering proofs of concepts, addressing customers' technical and process inquiries and providing collateral support.

  • Build subject matter expertise across Automation Anywhere products and methodologies in helping enterprises achieve digital workforce transformations.

  • Meet with key channel partners, system integrators, customers and prospects to review and contribute to revenue opportunities (small part of day to day, strategic deal support)

  • Work with key internal stakeholders (sales leadership, product, technical support and aligned organization leads) to boost sales effectiveness.

  • Standardize and publish process, templates (skill coverage, Share point home) , code snippets, collateral, demos and whitepapers needed during the pre-sales cycle. Lead the sales engineering team to ensure collaboration and sharing of best practices allowing for efficient execution.

  • Propose and lead in the optimization of technical training, collaboration tools, and productivity tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the presales organization.

  • Hire, develop and allocate resources, perform employee reviews and evaluations.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience as a sales engineer for a software product company with global clients.

  • Experienced and self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales

  • Deep, broad knowledge of automation technology

  • Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base

  • Exposure to typical business applications and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle and Peoplesoft.

  • Experience with XML, JMS, SOAP and/or Web Services (WS-*) and other SOA/Integration technologies

  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills

  • Professional written responses to emails, RFPs, face to face and when submitting reports.

  • Organized and analytical with the ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.

  • 2+ years relevant experience in software/technology sales engineering

  • Travels extensively on short notice (up to 50% travel)

JOB TITLE/LOCATION: Sales Engineer – Multiple Locations DESCRIPTION: We are currently recruiting for a District Sales Engineer. The District Sales Engineer will make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner by carrying out various responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: * Developing statistical reports * Determining market strategies & goals for each product and service * Obtain & coordinate data & information from staff & member groups * Research and develop lists of potential customers * Perform market research to determine customer needs & providing information to other staff * Evaluate product & service marketability in terms of customers' technical & manufacturing needs * Follow up on sales leads and making calls on potential customers which includes at least (50%) of your time on the road visiting customers * Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets * Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales * Work directly with customers to establish a communication path with the customer * Developing sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products & services * Develop technical presentations & workshops * Maintain up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends & government regulations * Make regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads * Establishing long-term, ongoing repeat relationships * Close deals & finalize contacts * Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of newly developing technologies and manufacturing practices * Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required. BSME preferred EXPERIENCE: Technical Sales Experience and sales training SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have the following Skills and Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree required. BSME preferred * 3-5 years of experience on both DST and End User/OEM accounts. * Industrial background preferably in Power Transmission. * Proficient with MS Word and Excel. * Presentation skills. * Able to track rapidly changing competition & market forces * Capable of meeting established sales goals and quotas * Decision Making skills * Able to develop strategies that result in revenues and organizational success. * Available to travel for business purposes.
