BetterCloud, voted Crain's Best Place to Work for four years in a row, is looking for a highly motivated Sales Enablement Trainer to join our rapidly growing team. Our Sales Enablement Team serves as a critical supporting team for our sales team. This role reporting to our Director of Sales Operations and Enablement will assist in all of the efforts Sales Enablement is responsible for. This includes new hire sales training, ongoing sales skills and product training, and sales tools training for our Corporate, Enterprise, and Strategic Account Executives.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of work experience, ideally in sales, or sales training

  • Excellent training, presentation, and communication skills

  • Highly organized and able to prioritize work effectively

  • No task is too big or too small - you're able to accomplish specific tasks while seeing the bigger picture

  • An aptitude for problem-solving and working cross-functionally with others

  • You have a passion for both sales and training

Preferred Qualifications

  • You have familiarity with Enterprise sales cycles

  • Bonus points if familiar with Lessonly/LMS system

  • Experience developing content (slides, role-plays, wiki pages, online courses, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Owning new hire sales onboarding for Account Executives day to day, ensuring instructor-led sessions are scheduled, assignments are completed and feedback is given, so new sales reps are successful from the start

  • Owning ongoing sales skills and product training; working closely with our VP of Sales, Director of Sales, and Product Marketing team.

  • Maintaining training content for Lessonly (LMS) and live training - slides, exercises, role-play scripts, record and edit videos, training guides etc.

  • Assisting with additional sales enablement efforts; things like coordinating training events, creating content for sales meetings, and updating collateral

  • Working on ad hoc projects such as working with marketing to ensure sales has everything they need for an upcoming field marketing event, documenting customer stories, etc.

This role develops, implements and manages enablement programs to ensure that the sales organization is well-equipped with the content, training, and resources as well as the sales behaviors and competencies required to meet and exceed quota quarter over quarter. The Senior Manager, Sales Enablement Programs also helps new hires learn how to be successful in their roles, as well as helps existing sales professionals continue to invest in their professional sales skills to enhance selling success and to advance in their careers. The ideal candidate should be ambitious and forward thinking – someone who continuously sets the bar higher with the enablement programs. This candidate will have experience developing and delivering enablement programs with a global scope. Your day-to-day * Collaborate with Sales, Technical Marketing, Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Finance, HR and other internal stakeholders as required to develop programs and content to enhance selling success. * Leverage strong project management skills to deliver programs on time, in budget and as defined within the project plan. * Partner with sales teams to identify gaps in performance and develop recommendations and programs to improve. * Think strategically about Proofpoint's sales strategy and build programs to cover market, competition, company, products and services, sales processes, sales methodology, manager, coaching, sales tools and skills training. * Capitalize on your sales methodology experience to help shape and define a sales methodology for Proofpoint sales. * Take the strategies, competitive plays, and differentiation created by the Product Marketing team and turn it into compelling and persuasive enablement for the sales teams. * Support sales certifications and work with managers to ensure compliance across teams. * Define, measure and report on the effectiveness of sales enablement investments and programs. What you bring to the team * Experience with security software and/or network infrastructure as well as enterprise software or enterprise SaaS products. Successful sales experience in these areas a plus. * BA in Business, Training, or other related field with experience in training design, development and management of large-scale projects. * Ability and desire to work across and collaborate cross-functionally. Ability to gain buy-in and acceptance for programs at the organizational as well as sales level. * Demonstrate a passion for technologies and solutions, and a strong aptitude for business strategy. * Strong project management skills combined with an ability to define key performance metrics to measure impact of sales enablement initiatives on sales productivity and effectiveness. * Experience in developing, implementing and coaching within a defined sales methodology. * Exceptional people, presentation, verbal and written skills. * Must be detail oriented, organized, and possess multitasking skills. * 5+ years of experience designing/delivering training and coaching to sales professionals. * High proficiency in using multiple and innovative training delivery methods and mediums to include blended learning solutions and online tools such as webcast, podcast, and eLearning/LMS. * Results-oriented with demonstrated leadership skills.
