As Connection Enterprise Solutions' Sales Director, you will be responsible for growing company's sales for our Southwest Region. You are a member of Connection's management team and play an important role in setting growth plan, executing the plan, and tracking the success of the plan.
You will work daily in the effort to develop and deliver Connection's value proposition, motivate the team to generate sales and grow the customer base, while also developing and maintaining strong business relationships throughout the Western USA. With your team, you will develop and execute key account strategies with a common goal of building Connection's sales to exceed quarterly goals and quotas.
Create a short term and a long term growth plan for the sales team.
Provide coaching, counseling, motivating and offering advice, support and information to help the team meet their sales objectives.
Maximize both present and long term sales and gross profits.
Plan, organize, direct, control and measure the team to meet their monthly, quarterly and annual objectives.
Achieve forecasted sales by following written plan of action.
Inspect each team member's performance and compare it with their objectives.
Recruit and develop the most well trained, professional sales force
Minimum of 5 years' experience and a proven track record of success as a Director / Manager working for a Value Added Reseller with annual revenue greater than $300 million.
Strong record of success in business development to medium and large corporate clients.
Strong record of success in leading and growing a sales team.
Experience leveraging integration and service partners to develop new account wins.
Experience with understanding current Medium to large (Enterprise) customer's needs for help and service in Virtualization, Data and Storage Management, Windows server and client environments, Networking and unified communications, and lifecycle management..
A strong ability to present and sell solutions to "C" level executives and decision makers in target customers.
Skills in: face-to-face presentations to customers; negotiating, closing sales, account management, leadership; written and oral communications; time management for self and others.
Ability to: multi-task, responds to rapid change, manage projects, manage detail, manage people and resources, set realistic and achievable goals/objectives and timelines.
Expected to travel up to 50% of the time.
