Adobe Systems Federal is seeking a new Sr. Sales Manager to lead the east coast State & Local field sales team. This senior leader strategically grows & drives the territory's sales pipeline by building, leading, and retaining a skilled team of Enterprise Sales professionals who successfully deliver on their respective sales goals. The team sells Adobe Digital Marketing Cloud software the Marketing, Analytics, and Experience clouds. Prior leadership experience within an enterprise level software sales model is essential; a proven success record leading as well as selling within the State & Local market is required.
The role is to ideally be staffed in the Central or East regions - Texas, Florida, McLean or New York. Upwards of 40% travel estimated.
What you'll do
Recruit, coach, mentor, manage and lead a world class team of sales professionals to achieve yearly sales targets.
Manage a long, consultative sales process. Assist in the definition and evangelization of Adobe Best Practices and sales methodologies. Maintain accuracy in pipeline reporting & sales forecasting, as well as drive the team towards monthly linearity.
Cultivate and grow relationships within multiple State & Local governments/agencies that will lead to sales opportunities (net-new business) this includes opening doors for the team, value-prop selling, and collaboration on deals that include Services.
Apply a thorough understanding of the marketplace, industry trends, funding developments and products to all management activities and strategic sales decisions.
Partner with other Adobe Systems Federal Sales & Services leaders to develop strategy to enhance the overall Adobe software selling process/approach and business unit planning.
What you need to succeed
5 - 7 years' prior success in a sales leadership role (as measured by sales performance against goals), as well as demonstrated ability to manage a complex sales cycle. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of total enterprise level software selling experience. Prior experience selling and leading within the State & Local market is required.
Prior experience selling Digital marketing software is helpful, but not required.
Strong presentation and reporting skills required. Attention to detail also important.
Must be able to consistently travel nationwide.
Highly motivated, as well as able to create and develop a highly-motivated, success-oriented sales team.
BA/BS degree required; Master's degree preferred.
