Up for the challenge?

 Within Envalior we are seeking a Sales Director to lead a team of Account & Business Development professionals to realize agreed sales targets; translate new technologies to create new growth via agreed development projects for his/her segment/region as described in his/her segment plan.

Key areas of accountability/responsibility

  • To lead a team of Account Managers (AM) in order to realize agreed sales targets, roll out Customer Value Proposition and generate new business growth via agreed development projects at all key OEM’s and Customers. Owner of the Segment Marketing and Sales plan.
  • To contribute their application knowledge to the business plan.
  • Focus is on meeting defined and agreed Sales and Marketing objectives with Product line and drive efficient resource allocation. He/she therefore manages both internal and external different international contacts/networks related to existing customers and technologies.
  • Propose and develop a Segment Sales Plan for Americas and accountable to implement it, including its translation into Customer Service Levels, e-Channel Management, Agency Contracts and Commissions, Pricing and Rebates, General Supply Conditions and Payment Terms, Contracting, Credit Risk Management and Dunning.
  • Segment Sales Plan and accountable for implementing it including its translation into Project acquisitions and Project commercialization’s.
  • Responsible to reach agreement with the business lines on price-volume-margin and pipeline targets targets for a given period (month/quarter) in line with Industry Segments Strategy.
  • Secure a coherent account approach as formalized in the Segment Plan, in agreement with and supporting product lines resp. BU strategies. This plan includes pricing, volume, margins, project acquisition targets, project commercialization targets and or market share/development targets.
  • Provide industry intelligence (customers, value chain, trends, pricing, applications, etc) and Value Chain Intelligence to the business lines and actively contribute to the business line plans, product line strategies and innovation processes.
  • Accountable to secure and measure both efficiency and effectiveness his/her sales force and to manage and coach AMs and ADMs, in order to realize agreed business targets.
  • Accountable for closing and follow up of agency contracts, periodic monitoring of rebate agreements and for bad debt provisions and write-offs.
  • Create sales contracts & commercial agreements within framework as set by Business Lines
  • Embark on development projects with customers

 As part of Sales costs for the segment he/she is responsible for:

  • Pricing within framework of business line and Commercial Director guidelines
  • Line/HR management for AM and ADM being their direct reports (including Home office sales force)
  • Manage short (sales and margin) and long (pipeline) term objectives.
  • Execution of OTC processes (a.i. contracting, credit management) and all relevant transactional processes.
  • Provide challenging and coaching leadership to a large number of sales (incl. home office) and sales related resources, multi-cultural and international context, serving a broad range of customers and accounts in a defined industry segment. Combine multi product line strategies at different accounts.

  • Report any SHE and Security incidents (including observed risks) to management.

  • Bachelor Degree, MBA Preferred.
