The successful candidate for this position will identify, prioritize, pursue and close new sales opportunities for the full suite of Airbus, Intelligence products and services in the remote sensing and geospatial services market in North America. This position is focused on Hunting for new customers in the Commercial Market in the United States and Canada.
Identify, prioritize and pursue new and existing opportunities for the full suite of Airbus Intelligence products and services in the remote sensing, geospatial services markets.
Identify and translate customer requirements and business objectives into solution sets that are based on Airbus' full suite of products and services.
Create the strategies and execute the tactics needed to drive substantive, additional benefits to clients that result in revenue generating contracts.
Create and develop new business. Meet and exceed sales goals through sales planning and execution.
Represent the Company at sales meetings, trade shows and conferences.
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor degree, Sales, GIS or Remote Sensing is required.
8-10 + years in a professional sales and selling solutions, team management skills a plus
Ability to quickly understand new technologies and business models and be able to evaluate there relevance to the clients' vision.
Preference for a strong background in the remote sensing, GIS, analytic services marketplace. Ideally the successful candidate will have commercial market experience in selling products, services and has demonstrated expertise in solution selling
Proven background of closing seven figure sales opportunities.
Ability to work independently on large, complex sales opportunities, from business capture to contract signature.
Proven track record for obtaining new customers and converting to long term agreements
Ability to prioritize and to work on a team.
Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of French and/or German a plus.
Must be willing to travel approximately 25-40% of the time, US valid passport a must.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
This position will report through our Chantilly, VA offices; however, we will allow the right candidate to work remotely, provided they are willing to travel as needed.
