Mission: Drive business performance by providing key leadership and strategy to

develop and grow MGA Entertainment's manufactured product sales. The

Director, Asia Sales is also responsible for developing and implementing

Key Account, distributor and non-traditional channel sales development

strategies (including e-commerce) that support the attainment of MGA's

international retail sales objectives and franchise priorities. This leader will

also deliver best in class retail solutions for MGA brand throughout Asia,

and will partner with Licensing to achieve critical mass at a local level, for

the benefit of MGA bands

Job Description

Director, Asia Sales

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related area required, MBA highly preferred.
  • 10+ years of sales and marketing management experience, preferably in the Toy

Industry.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams

  • Strong planning, forecasting and analysis skills to perform quantitative data analysis.

  • A change agent with highly evolved influencing skills and constant initiative

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for managing projects to conclusion on

time.

  • Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills.

Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

  • Self starter with pro-active mindset

  • Knowledge of kids, toys and entertainment industry.

  • Must have good understanding of marketing, brand management, including digital

marketing

  • Experienced senior sales executive with proven ability to deliver results and lead a

business development team in the Asia Pacific Region.

  • Track record of ability to manage relationships with HQ and brand direction from HQ

teams

  • Knowledge and experience working with multiple channels and accounts.

  • Experience dealing with retailers, distributors and licensee at a senior level in multiple

regions around the world including: Asia.

  • Proven ability to develop channel and market specific sales strategies that deliver

exceptional growth.

  • Ability drive marketing to achieve sales targets

  • Strong quantitative skill set.

  • Strong computer based skill set across multiple platforms.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong networking capabilities (Relationship building).

Authority:

  • This role reports to the General Manager International

Key Result Areas and Activities:

1.Lead all Asia Pacific Sales and Marketing Strategies

o Develop and monitor long-range strategic marketing plan and sales plan in drive

organizational strategy and objectives.

o While assessing sell through and inventory levels, lead all sales and marketing

strategy development and implementation in the region, and deliver assigned

sales and margin goals.

o Conduct presentations and product reviews, to distributors and retailers alike, to

achieve ultimate placement of MGA product range, across the region.

o Lead in preparation of overall business strategy, develop, challenge and maintain

key customer relationships/alliances, diversify portfolio and channels (ecommerce!),

obtain target market shares for each market segment, profitably

grow the core business volume through appropriate sales strategies.

2.Drive Account Management and Execution

o Work closely with Licensing, Supply, Sales Admin, Demand Planner, Marketing,

and Finance, to regularly review and improve regional account performance,

focusing on execution, to increase MGA brand presence and relevance to end

customer, while delivering growth.

o Make and influence critical decisions at the local and regional level to grow MGA

market share and voice, in collaboration with Licensing, and with Marketing

support always in mind.

o Establish and maintain relationships with distributors and retailers through formal

and informal interactions, analyzing and challenging their performance. Diversify

partner base as needed, to achieve growth

o Identify new or additional business stream, in particular with e-commerce

3.Manage and Lead a Team of 3 individuals

o One Marketing Manager, one Sales Admin and one Demand Planner report into

this position

o Motivate the team to deliver initiatives and results.

o Encourage collaboration and communication across departments

o Monitor and evaluate performance of team and individuals, encouraging

transparency in the communication.

o Provide strategic brand and operational leadership, and integrate marketing in

every sales driven initiatives

o Develop a meaningful collaboration with Licensing Team to join forces on a local

level and maximize business opportunities, brand positioning and overall sales
