The Sales Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the development and growth of profitable new aircraft sales; develop and maintain effective key relationships. This position will also ensure business growth through directing and managing business development activities to ensure that they are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning, directing, and managing Sales activities on a day-to-day basis.
Identifying new commercial and military customers for the MD products, including 500, 600, and 902 class helicopters.
Visiting and establishing relationships with prospective MDHI customers.
Developing market intelligence to help focus MDHI Business Development efforts.
Developing multi-year bookings and sales forecasts to help MDHI grow the business and meet the annual operating plan.
Working closely with the Sales Team to focus MDHI Business Development efforts.
Advising the VP Sales & Marketing, Global Program Management, Senior Director Business Development and other members of the leadership team on all business development matters.
Other duties may be assigned.

Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues is required.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload within department.
Ability to successfully coordinate efforts of staff outside of individual's span of authority.
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Access database system experience required.
Up to 50% travel required with significant customer interface.
The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate is required.
Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to get along with others or to be part of a team.
Access to Export Control Information.
Regular attendance at the worksite.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 4-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two plus years of previous aircraft sales experience, preferred.
