About The Role

The right candidate will possess excellent energy and drive and a real desire to build business across a portfolio of accounts. They will be able to build effective relationships quickly and find valuable business within each account immediately that can then be enhanced by leveraging internal resources.

As an outbound prospecting specialist for a cybersecurity product, your main responsibility is to generate leads and qualify prospects for the sales team. Your tasks will typically include:

  • Conducting research: You will need to research potential clients, their needs, and any relevant industry news or trends. This information will help you understand their pain points and how the cybersecurity product can address them.

  • Identifying prospects: Using various tools and strategies, you will identify and prioritize potential prospects for the cybersecurity product. This may involve cold-calling, emailing, or using social media to reach out to potential clients.

  • Qualifying leads: You will need to engage with prospects to determine whether they are a good fit for the product. This involves understanding their needs, budget, and decision-making process.

  • Building relationships: You will be the first point of contact for many prospects, and you will need to build trust and rapport with them. This involves understanding their challenges and providing relevant insights and solutions.

  • Managing the pipeline: You will need to keep track of your progress, including the number of leads generated and the stage of each lead in the sales process. You may use customer relationship management (CRM) tools to manage your pipeline.

  • Collaborating with the sales team: You will work closely with the sales team to ensure that leads are handed off smoothly and effectively. This involves coordinating communication and ensuring that all relevant information is passed along.

  • Staying up-to-date: You will need to stay up-to-date with industry trends and the latest cybersecurity threats and solutions. This will help you to provide valuable insights and stay ahead of the competition.

Overall, as an outbound prospecting specialist for a cybersecurity product, you will be a crucial part of the sales team, helping to identify and qualify prospects that can benefit from the product.

What You'll Need

  • Telephone Sales experience

  • Track record of exceeding expectations

  • Cold Calling experience (tech, SaaS, or Security specific desirable).

  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn new business and technical concepts quickly.

  • Competitive nature, but also a collaborative team player.

  • Strong presentation skills, both in person and via virtual channels.

  • Customer Service background a plus.

  • Security and/or SaaS Sales experience a plus.

  • Persistent

  • Doesn't stop at "no". Believes they can overcome.
  • Coachable
  • Seeks help; knows how to get help, when to ask for it and what situations call for it.
  • Experience of 1 to 3 years in outbound prospecting for global markets
